Day before my bday is in dc. I'm there. Only thing that sux about dar is that you can't stand during shows. Wonder if Between the Buried and Me will do 'colors' in its entirtey or more of a best of. For the most part with that album, there aren't really any song breaks.

SWEET!
Not only is the tour coming through here, but the venue doesn't suck.

I definitely have to go to this one.
Thanks for posting the dates.

Please tell me that isn't all of the dates they're going to be having. The closest they are coming to Texas is Georgia... which isn't anywhere close at all.

Hey, it's finally my turn! Besides, you had 3 shows in Texas in August.

I saw DT with Satriani and King's X at the Rosemont in 2002 and the sound was shit in that room - it's not built for rock/metal, but for comedy and other shows. Hell the ushers at that show were all elderly LOL. They could have picked a better venue.

I haven't seen them since they toured with Queensryche and was looking to going this year since I think SC is their best album since Metropolis pt II. Unfortunately they aren't coming close enough to me this time.

Opeth didn't come through in August though! Do you have a cot I can sleep on?

just got back from the show. I surprisingly liked 3, between played 3 songs (selkies, prequel to the sequel, and white walls) both played 30 min a piece, opeth played one new song (heir aparent) a few from Ghost Reveries, one song from Damnation, and the final song was from blackwater park, although i don't recall the name, wouldn't be surprised if it was The Drapery Falls.

off the top of my head dream theater played
In the Presence of Enemys
Strange Deja Vu
Through My Words
Fatal Tragady
Never Enough
As I Am
The Ministry of Lost Souls
Take The Time (Rudess played part of his solo with the keytar which was cool)
encore (during the break they had a super mario brothers video playing set to 'dark eternal night' with a dream theater theme to it, funny stuff.
a 15 minute medely constisting of Metropolis 1, Learning to Live, and the very end of A Change of Seasons) Rudess and Petrucci did a back and forward solo (and rudess again had the keytar)
they played an hour and a half.

I think i forgot one, i def wanna see them again and hopefully they'll do another 'an evening with' show with just them and they can play for 3 or 4 hours, since there is a ton of stuff they didnt play tonight.

and i picked up the book that was mentioend a page before this for 20 bucks, they also had a bunch of authorized bootleg cds of covers (\dark side of the moon, master of puppets and 'the number of the beast)

Oh, and after listening to the newest album alot recently that Portnoy should def. stick to the drumming and stay far away from the mic, although he did sound good doing the first verse of 'take the time'

I have all 3 of those. I think the best-sounding one is Dark Side ...
