Putting together a compilation CD - need suggestions

I've been put in charge of assembling a CD or two to be used as background/dinner music for a local fundraiser spaghetti dinner. My plan is to do a mix of Sinatra/Dean Martin (for the grandparents) on up through modern day stuff that would appeal to teens (the fundraiser is for my daughter's color guard) - though nothing too heavy.

I'd appreciate any song ideas, or better yet, an existing commercial compilation I could use for ideas or just get from the library........

thx!!!

Try Richard Cheese (anything) and Pat Boone's "In A Metal Mood"l CD if you want to throw them for a loop.

At a freiend's wedding, they had some popular mellow aletrnative for the dinner's background music.

Stuff was along the lines of Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, etc
