Army of Anyone - STP and Filter join forces

I was just randomly surfin around and saw that Richard Patrick started a band with the guitarist and bassist with STP. WTF.

The band is called Army of Anyone, and their music sounds pretty generic.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard this band?

I've been looking forward to this one. Go to alternativeaddiction.com and do a search for the band. There's at least a clip of some of the new stuff.

Heard some of their stuff months back. It's exactly what you'd expect STP + Richard Patrick would sound like. Nothing new here folks.

They'll fair a bit better than Talk Show. Though not by much.

From what I've heard so far, it sounds pretty generic and boring. I like both Filter and STP, so it's rather disappointing.

Not too interested. Love STP, but Filter sucked IMO, largely because I didn't like Patrick's vocals.

Can't say I am looking forward to this too much. I never cared for Filter, especially Patricks voice and attitude. I do like the first few STP albums, but can't say that I would be particularly looking forward to hearing from them again. I guess it's the same mentality I hold for Velvet Revolver; A buncha talented guys that are through their hey day.

On that note though I am glad that the boys from STP are getting a chance to do something again. Weiland kind of fucked them after all the shit they delt with on behalf of him.

I thought Patrick was working on the new Filter album. Is this no more? Title of Record is a great album. Amalgamut wasn't that bad either.

The 4th Filter album was near completion (supposedly), but Filter was put on hold for Army of Anyone. The album may be released later, but his current focus is on AoA.

I like Filter and STP so I'll definitely check them out when they stop in Hartford, CT. Why not?

I figure that you would have prefered it being a bad joke than a threadcrap.

Wow, a Talk Show reference. Haven't heard someone mention them in years. I liked their album...had a Beatles vibe going.

I picked up a Queen vibe quite a bit. Their vocalist sound so much like Freddy at times.

Saw the album at Best Buy...only $6.99 but I didn't pick it up. I'm somewhat interested though as a bigtime STP fan.
