For the record, I would go $300 for semi-decent seats to Genesis, as I have never seen them. But as of now there are no shows West of the Mississippi and I don't consider any show worth a four hour flight to go see.

That blows my mind. Not the flight, not the performer, but that anyone ever had one the greatest concert experience of their life at The Hollywood Bowl. I loathe that venue for concerts.

It was my first time there and it was cool to see it.
It also helped that almost everyone there was older than me and people weren’t buried in their phones.

General sale on for Charlotte. $200 to start. I am priced out.

I knew I wasn't going, but checked out the ticket prices for the Toronto show, anyway... Wow. Cheapest seats are >$300 for almost the very back row in the highest balcony.
So many of the decent seats have the BS 'experience' package tied to them. I'm sooooo glad for the way concerts were through most of my life. Ticket sales are such bullshit, now.
Similar seats to what I had in 2007 (center floors, about 15 rows back, ~$225 each) are now well over $1000, for what will be a lesser show.
I suppose, if I'd never seen them, I'd consider a 'cheap' seat, as they're one of my favourite bands. Thankfully I've seen them 5 or 6 times.

Well, last night the Charlotte show had nosebleed seats dropped to $125 before fees, they now are back to $200. I almost bought in at the low price, but I’ve decided that non drumming Phil in a chair at a lower register just isn’t how I want to experience them. I do hope it’s a great show.

Didn’t something funky happen to Phil’s voice or hearing and he was never gonna sing again? Plus, I just found out last week or at least made the connection that Lily Collins is his daughter. She’s so cute.

Nerve damage has pretty much put a stop to his drumming. I think the change of his singing voice is mostly just age. Those long high notes are gone.

Plus he can no longer stand for long after suffering drop foot after having back surgery, and it’s hard to sing well while seated.

It's no secret. He called his 2019 Tour "Not Dead Yet" for a reason. That article mentions "months" since he announced he could no longer drum, but it's actually been like 15 years.
