Why do all Enya songs sound alike?

Basically, like a monotonous, shaky-jerky merry-go-round down into the bowels of hell?

Any thoughts?

Yeah, here's a thought: isn't there an entire Music Forum where you cost post thoughts like this?

Oh, wait, dammit, it's Enya -- not music.

Which brings me to my point.

Besides, I wanted the Otters to handle this one. I need a giggle.

And yet, here we are.

This question could have just as easily been about many bands. The Ramones, for example.

I like Enya and am able to distinguish her songs...... It's like musical Cream of Wheat, when you want something sweet and bland.

I would generally slam most new age music, but I like Enya. There is some samey-samey to some of her music, but it's not all like that. It's like saying reggae all sounds the same until you spend a bit of time listening to it. Anyway, there's much easier targets out there.

kinda Sad

Very few artists are able to be 'diverse' in their music. The Beatles were astounding in their ability to disply different styles in one album ( think Revolver) and then morph even further in the later offerings.

I like Enya but I don't follow her much anymore since she has become so predictable and ...lame.

I kinda liked the LOTR song, but I haven't heard too much beyond that.

Or ACDC. Heard once that a reviewer wrote, "ACDC has released ten albums that sound exactly the same". Angus Young replied, "That's not true. We've released eleven albums that sound exactly the same". Or something to that effect.
