Post your biggest/favorite release date this year
After what's seemed like a long dry spell, I was looking at this week's cd releases and found that there are five new albums I'm thinking about buying. I thought it might be interesting to see what people's biggest Tuesdays are for this year, either in terms quality or quantity of purchased albums. My list would currently have 5 contenders.
May 9
Grandaddy - Just Like the Fambly Cat
Snow Patrol - Eyes Open
The Stills - Without Feathers
August 22
Cursive - Happy Hollow
Lambchop - Damaged
Razorlight - Razorlight
Starsailor - On the Outside
M. Ward - Post-War
September 12
DJ Shadow - The Outsider
Ben Kweller - Ben Kweller
Now It's Overhead - Dark Light Daybreak
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
September 19
Joseph Arthur - Nuclear Daydream
Kasabian - Empire
The Zutons - Tired of Hanging Around
October 3
And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Title TBA
Beck - The Information
The Dears - Gang of Losers
Decemberists - The Crane Wife
The Killers - Sam's Town
At present, today or October 3 will win out for most purchases for me, but that could change based on what's announced for Q4. As far as favorites, I love all 3 of the albums I picked up on May 9, so that'll be tough to top. I'm guessing October 3 will have the best chance.
