I picked up the band 404 Not Found's "Armless" CD recently here:

and it turns out it's a black CD IE the substrate is black, not clear and with no the prismatic effect. Looks just like those from a stack of Memorex blank media I got a couple years ago but this one does not have media info IE is a real factory pressed disc! Kinda cool looking. Now I wonder if they will start making limited editions of other colors, or swirled IE just like some vinyl records. Would that even work? Does anyone else have any like this?

I have a Japanese promo cd for Metallica's One that is red. This was released back in 88-89 so I don't think it is anything new. Just something you don't see very often.

"Where's Neil When You Need Him?", The Neil Gaiman (a fantasy & comic author) tribute album is a black CD. It took me by surprise when I saw it.

The Cardigans' "Super Extra Gravity" is all black with white artwork. Very cool looking.

DVDs from Red Light District (porno) are red. Kind of startled me when I got my last order and saw these DVDs. Wasn't sure they'd play in my old Toshiba DVD player because it won't even play CD-Rs. But they played fine.

I forgot about that Neil Gaiman tribute CD. Need to pick that up post haste.

Jay-Z: The Black Album came with an all black disc, not unlike a PS1 game.

Michael Jackson's History album has gold CDs, but I'm pretty sure gold discs aren't as rare as red or black or other colors.

all the discs in the Rolling Stones Singles box sets are black. the re-released Ziggy Stardust soundtrack discs are on red cds

The one Alice in Chains album had a yellow and dark blue CD CASE, which of course makes it a pain in the ass to replace if the case ever broke.

The Slayer live disk in their box set was like that. That came out a couple years ago.

Mine was the first Bell Biv DeVoe disc.
