I ended up walking out on Tool 3 songs into their set. I couldn't take the shitty venue, so I went to a bar for drinks. Some of my friends who stuck around said it was great, others said it sucked.

Went to the show last night. Maynard had apparently picked up a cold in L.A.
Then the great AZ crowd threw a bottle and hit him in the head during "The Pot". He stormed offstage. The band completed the song, and then they launched into "46&2" and Maynard sang the last verse. The band closed with 10,000 Days (Parts 1 and 2)
I feel we lost about 2-3 songs because of Maynard's health and the jackass crowd.
The band sounded good though, wish I could've heard "Jambi" or "Opiate".
Interesting Tidbit - We were on the lawn and some asshole was starting a fire, one other dude started putting it out. Firestarter guy began yelling at the fire putter outter guy. (Both were big dudes". Fire putter outter guy fucking layed the guy out with one punch. It was something to behold.

I sure hope they stop by the "dangling penis of America"....aka Florida. Or perhaps they're doing the Red Hot Chili Pepper tour and won't bother to stop by just like RHCP.
Sigh....well, at least I've still got Gigantour to go to.

Oh man. I went to the Gorge show last week in Washington and it fucking blew my mind. That was the 7th or so time I've seen them, but I was praying to hear 10k days. Lucky guys. It was still an excellent show, despite my overdose of mushrooms.

I'm going tonight in Dallas. I was worried when they postponed the San Antonio show, but it looks like a go tonight. Now I just hope MJK is feeling better and they can do a full set.

MJK said something like "FYI...I'm still sick........but I'm F'ing here" after Stinkfist and then went right into The Pot.
If he was still sick you wouldn't have known it. He sounded great (i'd say he voice was at least at 90%). He didn't skip any parts that I could tell and the set was not cut short.
setlist:
Stinkfist
The Pot
Forty Six & 2
Jambi
Schism
Lost Keys
Rosetta Stoned
Wings For Marie
10,000 Days
Lateralus
Vicarious
Ænema
There are some great reviews with the details of the show on some of the tool boards.
Have fun at the show!

Great show in KC friday night. Awesome laser lights. After Stinkfist MJK said that he had been sick and that everyone would be pissed if he didn't the next song, The Pot. Setlist was the same as above.

Isis did definately rock when I went to this show. However, I think they would be better suited in a smaller theater setting. I would certainly check them out if they came back through.

Tool Reschedules Spring Tour Dates
Tool has rescheduled 10 live dates postponed last month after drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep. The itinerary will now begin April 30 in Reno, Nev., and run through May 24 in Baton Rouge, La. Additional dates are pending.
It is expected the band will honor a previously announced co-headlining appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival in mid-June in Manchester, Tenn. Tool is touring in support of its latest studio album, "10,000 Days," which has sold more than 1.4 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
During Tool's unexpected time off, frontman Maynard James Keenan has been working on new music from his side group Puscifer. According to a post on Keenan's Myspace.com site, the tracks feature guest turns from A Perfect Circle's Tim Alexander, singer/songwriter Jonny Polonski and Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave rhythm section Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford.
