Which version of Revolution do you prefer?
Which of the three versions of The Beatles' Revolution do you prefer? There is the original slower acoustic version that John originally intended that appeared on The White Album, the faster electric single that the rest of the band insisted on and the long experimental 'Number Nine' version that appeared on the White Album as well. 'You say you want a revolution'....well which one do you want?

I rank them:
#1 "Revolution" (fast single version)
#2 "Revolution #9" (underrated experiment in sonic layering)
#3 "Revolution" (slow album version)

I've never really analyzed them, but for pure listening I like the slower version.

Hmmm...probably the electric one. I can say without a doubt that the one I like the least is No. 9. IMO, the worst Beatles song recorded and damn near unlistenable.

I like the fast version the best. The slow one is alright though (I like the shoo-be-doo-bops). I'm not a fan of #9.

The single version. The faster sounding one just works better for me.
#9 is interesting. Even more so if you listen to it backwards.
Ah, the days of taking apart a tape cassette and flipping the reels so when you put it all back together and play it, it plays backwards. That is a messed up song in reverse.
