OK Computer,Revolver,Sgt Peppers,Nevermind,Dark Side and The Queen is Dead would all be in my top 15 so i think the list aint half bad

I do like Oasis but just wouldnt put them that high but DM would be my favorite album of theirs.

You beat me to it.

Are the Stone Roses for the British what Jerry Lewis is for the French?

I mean, I actually like the Stone Roses but I don't think they even come close to being one of the Top-10 greatest bands ever. Yet in the top-10 of every single one of these British "Best Of" lists, there they are.

The Stone Roses debut is one of the dozen best albums ever. Their biggest problem is that they never did much of anything as a followup.

I still listen to it weekly, after all these years.

About the whole Nirvana thing. I loved them when I was in High School and even saw them in concert four months before Cobain blew his top, but why are they so highly regarded? I was in the thick of the grunge era and to be honest, Nirvana was just one of many really good bands, until the suicide. Then, instant legend/best band evar/classic/groundbreaking/genuis.

I'm an Oasis fan and I've never understood why that album gets so highly touted. The follow up "What's The Story, Morning Glory" is light years better than Definitely Maybe. And I wouldn't have voted "WTS,MG" #1 either.

I agree with that. Morning Glory is much better than the debut.

I dunno, Mr. Kite is dreadful...I remember some tv show back in the 70s (precursor to the dreaded tribute LP) where Anthony Newley sang the song, a cherished maalox moment.
