A MASSIVE announcement will be made on AliceInChains.com on May 15 at around 4pm PST. It's so big that we can't even hint at what it's about but we can tell you that you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't stop by the site at around 4pm PST on Monday.

According to Blabbermouth, didn't they take that down, citing that someone just got too excited over something and the announcement isn't "that big of a deal".

'Massive' ALICE IN CHAINS Announcement Not So Massive After All - May 11, 2006
Launch Radio Networks reports: Although news broke online late Tuesday (May 9) that ALICE IN CHAINS would be making a "massive" announcement on its website this Monday (May 15), a representative for the band's management told Launch yesterday (Wednesday, May 10) to disregard that notice, chalking it up to an "overenthusiastic" fan club moderator. The item about the big revelation has since disappeared from the site.
ALICE IN CHAINS recently confirmed the five dates and cities for its U.S. mini-tour, beginning on May 18 in Los Angeles and ending on May 23 in New York City. The shows will all take place in either small clubs or theatres.
These gigs and a previously announced date at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August are the only announced North American shows for the reunited group so far, with European festival dates on tap for June and July.
As previously reported, ALICE IN CHAINS will be joined on vocals by COMES WITH THE FALL frontman William DuVall. However, surprise guest vocalists and musicians are expected to show up at each of the five U.S. dates.

i guess that Duvall guy is the one that sang ROOSTER on the Heart concert show. he was terrible. not that Layne would be very replacable, but this guy was crap.

Are you kidding??
Duvall was MUCH better than Phil Anselmo. Anselmo was the one who sounded like crap - and could barely tell when he was on key or not! Duvall sounded like a cross between Layne Staley and Doug Pinnick of Kings X! (And that's a good thing!)

Phil sang "Would," and kept his hand to his ear (where he had his ear monitor) pretty much the whole time so that he could hear when he was going off key. He had to work really hard just to sound mediocre. (And saying that he sounded mediocre is stretching it a bit...)
The other guy, Duvall was all over it, though. Strong, soulful voice that sounded really good with AIC.
And, moorehead, what did your friend expect? It was a Heart show, not an AIC show....
