Drummers who were also lead singers
We all know Phil Collins of Genesis, and Don Henley of The Eagles, but who were some other drummers that also did full or part-time duty as lead singer?
Besides those two, I can only think of Levon Helm of The Band and the guy from Night Ranger that sang "Sister Christian".
Who else?

Peter Criss...didn't do a ton but had a George Harrison portion on every album (til he quit/got thrown out). He sang several popular songs live (Black Diamond, Nothing to Lose and of course Beth).
Ringo Starr also had his one song per album as well.

Gil Moore of Triumph comes to mind.
Eric Carr also did some lead vocals (Black Diamond & Young and Wasted live, Little Caesar and a re-recorded Beth in the studio).
The drummer for the Metal band Exciter also did their lead vocals.

Night Ranger MUST get props...he sang on about 1/2 the tracks and has a 2nd solo album coming out in the next couple o' months.
I know there are more that escape me..it is a rare thing though, it seems.

Roger Taylor of Queen also had the one-or-two-songs-per-album thing going.
EDIT: Oops. I just noticed someone already named him.

OK, shame on all you North American rockfans! What about Gil Moore from Triumph? I know that guitarist Rik Emmett sang on some tracks (before going solo) but GM led on most of the band's material.

Shame on me for missing B5Erik's post!
Perhaps a little along the lines of Messrs, Grohl & Starkey, Bill Ward sang on a few Sabbath tracks and has released a couple of albums on his own account with a third having been in the offing for several years now. I'd recommend his last one, "When the Bough Breaks" although am not ecstatic about the first three tracks.
Having undertaken a mmodicum of research since wading in with my first thoughts, here are a few more who drummed and sang to varying degrees:
Levon Helm - The Band [Edit: already cited]
Maureen Tucker - The Velvet Underground
Jim Capaldi - Traffic
Robert Wyatt - The Soft Machine
Jim McCarty - The Yardbirds
Christian Vander - Magma
Jimmy Marinos - The Romantics
Grant Hart - Husker Du [Edit: already cited]
Keith Moon - The Who

China Drum from the UK
they didnt make it all that big, i wonder if people still remember them?
debuted in 1995 with "Barrier" as an EP on Fluffy Bunny,
and went to MCA for their 1996 album
The drummer was their lead singer as he drummed and sang at the same time

Well, one of my favorite drummers, Kevin R. Daniels (a.k.a. "The Prick") was the vocalist in one of my group's earliest incarnations, Thrash (which was named that loooong before it was known as a style of metal music, LOL).
