Swapping Concert Tickets

Can anyone recommend a legitimate site for trading concert tickets? I've posted a message at http://www.concertlivewire.com/swaps.htm and that seems to be a legit site. Every other site revealed through a search engine inquiry for "Ticket trade" or "Ticket swap" has returned sites that only sell tickets. I've got tickets general admission tickets to a concert that I want to trade for reserved seats and I'm not having much luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try craigslist, I know my friend has traded some tickets on there. Also, the reason you may be having trouble is you're trying to unload GA seats for reserved, IMO.

Try a fan message board for the band, lots of people there will probably want GA. Then again, I don't know what group it is.

I've got a request on two fan meesage boards and I think that I'm the only one there over 16. Ironically, I've seen several posts (clearly from young girls) who are disappointed by their reserved seats, and yet they haven't replied to my request.

I'll try craigslist. Thanks for that.

Edit: Hey, posting at craigslist was surprisingly painless. Thanks again for the tip. I hope it works.

If anyone cares...after posting requests on four sites (two of them fan sites), I was not able to trade my tix. But we went to the show and the GA wasn't that bad (we found a nice spot in the back). However, once the show started, dozens of kids jumped from the box seats to be on the floor. Where were these people when I wanted to trade tickets? And where was security when these idiots were risking a sprained ankle in order to be crushed in a mob? Ah...the ignorance of youth...

For further instances, just because you have GA tickets, that doesn't mean you can't sit in a reserved seat. I never buy reserved seats, but there are times I won't be into an opening band. I'll grab a beer, and find a reserved seat to sit in. If someone comes along with those seats, I'll move.

Hell, I've even had shitty seats to concerts, bought by friends, and we'll move down closer. I've only been in someone else's seat once, and I just moved for them.

For this show, all GA ticket holders were sent through a special line and give a blue wristband, so it was hard to be inconspicuous. (Yes...I know...just take the wristband off...)

I had no idea Clay Aiken utilized a wristband system.

I was wondering if anyone would ask...it was Fall Out Boy, but I was there to see Hawthorne Heights.

We actually left about halfway through Fall Out Boy because they had no real energy and their bass player had to launch into a rambling pre-amble before each song. (And we'd promised the babysitter that we'd be home by 11:30...) Hawthorne Heights rocked.

maybe, its just that i don't like the new single from them (saying sorry), i have heard that some of their other stuff is a tad heavier and less of an emo punk rock sound right?

Technically, "Saying Sorry" is one of their mellower songs, but their signature sound is the heavy/crunchy guitars combined with the singer's soft voice. The songs on their first album do feature more of a death-metal growl from one of the guitarist which has been toned down on the new album.
