Ghostface: Fishscale

Picked this up yesterday and listened to it on the way into work.

Wow.

Fantastic album. There are a few rote "bitches and kilos" type tracks but the majority of the album is extremely clever. Also, the technique and beats on this album are simply incredible. If this album doesn't make your head nod, you're dead. IMO, this is an early contender for best rap album this year.

Yeah, its an awesome album, probably the best Wu-Tang album since Wu-Tang Forever. Not as good as Ironman, but next in line with Ghostface's solos.

The best thing Wu-Tang has done in a long, long time and possibly my favorite hip hop album of the past few years. Brilliant album.

Great cd, but best Wu since Forever? Not a chance.

Supreme Clientele is better but this cd still pwns. Buy IT!

I totally agree with you guys, this cd easily one of the best I've heard in a long time. I mean, everything on it works -- the beats, lyrics, his story telling... everything.

I've literally had to force myself to stop listening to it because I've been playing it over and over.

A must buy!

Btw --- my favorite song, at least right now, is Beauty Jackson.

Look forward to picking this up.
I wonder why it was only 7.99 on release week.
At first I thought it was an EP.

I thought it was a pretty good effort. "9 Milli Bros" is a great old head-banger, reminds me of some of the stuff on The W. Best rap album of the past couple of years? No way.

I thought that was a pretty good album although it's not a Wu album per se.

And I was surprised to see Cappadonna. I thought he was a gypsy cab driver.

(My personal favorite rap album of the past five years is Madvillain).
