Josh Rouse - "Subtitulo" 3/21/06

I was really excited to find out he had a new album coming out this month. It's only been a year since "Nashville" came out. It sounds pretty good from what I've heard so far. The first single is "Quiet Town". Very mellow, probably not what I would have chosen for a single but still a decent tune. I'm diggin' "It Looks Like Love". If you like his other stuff you should definitely check it out... just got tickets to see him in Montreal next month, can't wait!

I like his albums. Think I heard him first in Vanilla Sky. Thanks for the heads up on the new one.

I'm really liking the new album - it's a little more mellow and laid back than usual, evidently the inspiration for most of the songs came from when he lived in Spain for a few months last summer. I read somewhere (don't remember where though - may have been the message board on his site) that after he's done touring this album, he's going to start recording his first "rock" album.

Cool, glad I'm not alone! I'd have to say that he's one of my favorite artists and has been for the past several years. It would be interesting to hear a real "rock" album from him. "Dressed Up Like Nebraska" is probably the closest thing he's done to rock (ironically, my least favorite of his albums).
