Looks good, boy that man likes to stay busy! I know he has the greatest hits thing out, but I wish he would do like a home video/live DVD exclusively for White Zombie.

I was expecting a new Zombie album soon with new Zombie music. The reissue crap doesn't cut it, the videos seem cool as all of his videos were always good.

The best thing about that article is that he is in the studio finishing his last album... Hopefully they weren't talking about the Hellbilly Deluxe re-release.

I am SOOO ready for this one. "HD" is Rob's best single work, musically. Very coherent, they all flow together nicely. Harsh and brutal imagery, all in the name of good, dirty fun.

I met Rob at a CD signing earlier this year and he said they are going to rerelease of the early White Zombie albums and EPs (Watch Them Die Slowly, God Of Thunder) which have been OOP for some time. That is what I'm looking forward to.

Hellbilly Superdeluxe is going to be cool I can't get rid of the old one since its signed.

I would like to get this but it seems awful pricey. BB is showing it at $27.99 and DDCD is showing it at $25.40. Sure it includes a dvd but so did his greatest hits & I got that release week for 10 bucks if I remember correctly.

I remember back when the Hellbilly Deluxe dvd was announced way back in 1999. I'm glad that it is finally getting released.

That's cool, I used to have Watch Them Die Slowly on cassette but wasn't too impressed. I had a glow in the dark vinyl LP of God of Thunder, I don't even know if it was a bootleg or not, but it was pretty good, sounded like a real early version of the La Sexorcisto era.

A Few Minutes with Director Rob Zombie

Bloody-Disgusting recently had the opportunity to speak briefly with the incredibly busy Rob Zombie about his upcoming projects and plans for the future. Things do indeed look bright for Zombie fans…

BD: So how is the new CD coming, Rob?

RZ: I’m working on it now and it’s due to hit the stores March 7, 2006. I haven’t fixed on a title yet but it’s definitely going to be bizarre, all over the place musically. And with John 5 (Marilyn Manson) on it… Also, on November 22, I’m re-releasing “Hellbilly Deluxe” as a video album. There are going to be 13 videos on the DVD and 9 will be brand new so the Zombie camp is excited about that.

BD: Any future projects Zombie fans can look forward to?

RZ: Well, I’m hoping to release a complete boxed set of White Zombie next year and David Hartman and I are coming up with some new comic projects so hopefully there will be enough old and new stuff to keep everyone happy for a while. This last year has been crazy.

Zombie's Wild 'Horses' Due In March

Rob Zombie will unleash his third solo album, "Educated Horses," March 28 via Geffen. First single "Foxy Foxy" is due to arrive the second week of February at U.S. rock radio outlets; a video will be shot next month in Los Angeles by Zombie and cinematographer Phil Parmet, who previously worked on the Zombie horror film "The Devil's Rejects."

"Educated Horses" sports drumming from Josh Freese and a guest appearance by Motley Crue's Tommy Lee on an as-yet-unnamed track. The album will be supported on a spring North American tour with up-and-coming Italian rock outfit Lacuna Coil. The outing will begin March 17 in Jacksonville, Fla., and last through April 27 in Mesa, Ariz. Zombie will be backed on the road by guitarist John 5, bassist Blasko and drummer Tommy Clufetos.

"Educated Horses" is the follow-up to 2001's "The Sinister Urge," which debuted at No. 8 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Also on the horizon for Zombie is the film adaptation of his comic book "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto" and acting role in the alien/zombie flick "Slither," which opens March 31 in U.S. theaters.

ROB ZOMBIE’S NEW STUDIO RECORDING "EDUCATED HORSES" TO BE RELEASED MARCH 28th

Hollywood, California, January 26, 2005 - Fresh off the major success of his latest feature film, "The Devil's Rejects," Rob Zombie is returning this spring to his first passion - music - playing it live and loud. Zombie has finished recording his third solo studio CD, "Educated Horses" (Geffen Records).

Zombie is the longest active artist on Geffen Records, having been on the label for over 15 years.

Additionally, Rob is the most prolific Geffen Artist when it comes to Gold and Platinum discs - his seven is the most total number by any Geffen artist solely on the merit of their Geffen output.

* La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1 (1992) - US 2x Platinum
* Astro Creep: 2000 - (1995) - US 3x Platinum
* Supersexy Swingin' Sounds – the Astro-Creep remixes (1996) - US Gold
* Hellbilly Deluxe (1998) - US 3x Platinum
* American Made Music to Strip By – the Hellbilly remixes (1999) - US Gold
* The Sinister Urge (2001) - US Platinum
* Past, Present & Future – greatest hits compilation (2003) - US Gold

Zombie is now gearing up for The "Educated Horses Tour". The tour is scheduled to start March 17th in Jacksonville, Florida and hit 27 cities before concluding five weeks later in Mesa, Arizona (full list of tour stops follows). Joining Rob on this tour will be guitarist John 5 (ex-Marilyn Manson), longtime bassist Blasko and drummer Tommy Clufetos (ex-Alice Cooper & Ted Nugent). Supporting act for the tour will be goth metal band Lacuna Coil.

"Educated Horses" was produced by Zombie and long time producer Scott Humphrey (Metallica, Motley Crue), who together also produced the platinum hits Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge. Other musicians contributing to the CD are Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Vandals) and Tommy Lee. The album's debut single, the anthemic "Foxy Foxy," will begin play on Modern Rock and Active Rock radio on February 13th.

Zombie, a prolific video director in his own right having directed over twenty five videos, will direct the video for “Foxy Foxy” in Los Angeles in mid-February. Zombie will re-team with The Devil’s Rejects cinematographer Phil Parmet. Parmet has also worked on Led Zeppelin’s “The Song Remains The Same” and Frank Zappa’s “Baby Snakes”.
