I could love them or hate them.

You could go to Amazon and listen to samples of the cds.

Check out that Soul Coughing album. It's fantastic.

Judging from your picks, I'm confident you would dig it.

These days, what constitutes a bootleg?

IMHO a bootleg is an unauthorized release (or download) that isn't authorized by the record label that either owns the recording or has the artist under contract.

I think an album is an album and if an album is so good but a record label hasn't released, I don't think it should matter or what not. As long as it is something at least conceived by the artist and not A) a random mix cd-r made by someone who might either have rare demo recordings of material or just wanted to make an awesome favorite track list or B) a boot that wasn't artist approved like the people who originally booted SMiLE and used their own production techniques. For example, if someone wanted to put the Jon Brion production for Fionna's "Extroadinary Machine" album or the Mummies bootleg "Fuck the Mummies" (which Goner officially released as "Tales from the Crypt" eventually), they should. If someone wanted to put on a random live cd-r of Radiohead that they bought at 7th Heaven, they shouldn't be allowed to use it.

This is exactly why I am not allowing bootlegs. No need to complicate a simple game. :)

No problem. I don't own any of those. :D or :(

I can't believe you watch the WNBA! And I like Liquid Swords just fine, I just wouldn't say it is the best Wu solo album, or would I put it on any top 100 albums list.

Never have the words "Did you see the end of that WNBA game" come out of my mouth.

Yeah, because something else is usually "coming" out of your mouth. Ho-Ho-Ho!

auto - Could you please fix my Round 9 pick listed in post #2? You have it as "Helmut" when it should be "Helmet." The former sounds like it should be a German cover band of the latter.

EDIT: Thanks!

I'm glad there's all this negative talk concerning greatest hits albums. I'm still trying to whittle down what my Round 10 pick will be and one of the contenders is a greatest hits album that I've been playing the hell out of lately (hint: the artist has already been selected in the draft). Now that I know where the players (or the more vocal ones, at least) stand on the issue, I can cross that album off the list.

I think the only worthy greatest hits is Creedence's "Chronicle."
