Funny... I was considering Bugs on Broadway...

Big Star, Roxy Music and Gram Parsons all going in round 9, wow. It just goes to show how much great music there is out there.
|
Round 9: Carole King - Tapestry
|
9: Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood

It's going to be almost impossible to choose just one album to finish out the draft...

Massive Attack - Mezzanine

Is it just me or is this round just full of awesome picks?

Hard to say which is the better album, but Blue Lines has the mind-blowing one-two punch of "Unfinished Sympathy" (one of my favorite songs of all time) followed immediately by "Daydreaming", another killer track. Oh, and the opening track "Safe from Harm" is also spectacular.
Blue Lines was, uh, acquired last night. :) |

Blue Lines is much, much better than Mezzanine. BTW, those interesting in "acquiring" Massive Attack music should "acquire" the Pefecto/Oakenfold remix of Unfinished Symphony.

I hope some of you have the great Massive Attack singles Box set

In lieu of illegally downloading (which I don't discourage) you guys might want to sign up for a free month long trial of Rhapsody which is what I did. Unlimited streaming audio. Not everything is on there, but a lot is. I've been checking out a lot of the music you guys are posting that I've always heard of, but never heard. I even like some of it! ;) |

The fact that is went through eight rounds before being picked is a travesty. I didn't think it would last this long, but I pick:

It's probably a bit too early to make predictions, but I think cleaver's collection is the most well-rounded and most well-known. I can easily see him go all the way or get made fun of for having two greatest hits albums. :)
