Is Cake worth seeing live?

They are playing down the block from me. I deffinitly want to go, but tickets are rather steep at 30 bucks. Worth it to spend the money and see em?

Cake Rocks !! Haven't seem 'em live...but you get the feeling they'd be good just by their recordings....

I've seen them live a few times (live in Sacramento) and although their new CD didn't do anything for me I'd still recommend checking them out. They put on a pretty good show.

I've seen 'em live 3 times. I'm still waiting for them to rock L.A. in a smaller venue again. (None of this Del Mar Fairgrounds or all-day festival business.)

I saw them live on a package tour and was absolutely miserable.

I would rather see Cake then half the bands that are touring.

Really enjoyed them a few years back in Van BC; subdued excellence. I just loved it when he brought out that tambourine/twangy thing to make the wicked rattle.
