Charlotte Church: Tissues and Issues CD
Anyone else besides me hunt down this disc? It had a UK release of July 11, and was supposed to be available in the US August 9.
Stupid me I wait until the 8th and make like twenty phone calls to see which retailer within fifty miles of me has the best deal.
NO ONE is getting it! Only the Wherehouse told me they could special order it. It's even on Amazon.co.uk and Borders is with Amazon, and it isn't even in their system!
I ended up buying it from a UK seller on ebay...
Here's a sample of each track from her official site. Just click the banner at the bottom of the page.
While it's definitely different than her previous recordings, I LOVE the last two tracks. Simply perfect.

Church is gorgeous. Isn't she trying to break away from her parents and change her image or some shit like that? I thought I read that somewhere.

She's been leaning toward a sexier image for some time now. I remember seeing her perform on Leno a few years ago, and she came out wearing this extremely hot little skin-tight Spanish-style red dress, with the leg slit way up to there, and I almost choked on my drink with a "Holy shit!"

All young singers turn to the whore image at some point in their careers.

I just discovered her first single, and actually love it, and the video is just amazing. I'm going to order her CD, but for now, my contribution, from her music video:

sweet Jeezus....
I love it when girls realize the power of their Tits and they put that power to good use.

She had to change her image because Tissues And Issues is her first foray into "pop" music. There are no classical or opera songs on this album. It's really varied on sounds, it leans towards a more 60's Motown sound. It hasn't done well in the UK. Give it a try.

I can't look away.
I browsed some of the other pictures on the site that those GQ pics were linked to and it seemed like every other magazine article I saw was titled "Princess of Wales." How original.
They can do what they want, but I've never understood why musicians - whose livelihoods are their voices or lung capacity - smoke. Seems to me, that it'd be a no-brainer not to risk sounding like Lucille Ball in a few years. I'd do heroin, instead.
Some say I only rap about wealth
But baby can I talk about your health?
Lungs, lungs, motherfuckin' lungs
Get a brother oh so strung
-Sir Mix-A-Lot, "Put 'Em on the Glass"
