What?! No one's talking about the new...

Hootie album?

no one cares about Hootie anymore?

actually, it's pretty decent. much better than their last one (the self-titled one).

man, if you go to their website and check out their tour dates... my, have times changed. they're playing casinos, conventions, college festivals, and bar mitzvahs (ok, maybe not that last one).

My brother works for Enterprise Rent-a-Car. they had their Managers' conference in Orlando back in May. And for their big party, they had Hootie and the Blowfish. weird.

Nice vague thread title. Let the flaming begin.

Half the band is from my hometown. Don't have much of an opinion of the band, but the bandmembers are very cool, nice people. So I wish them success.

You would have had a better chance of bringing out Hootie fans by mentioning it in the title, though. If you've lurked around enough, you know most people here don't like vague thread titles. I personally don't care too much, but admittedly, I wouldn't have clicked on a Hootie thread.

Listening to it now... so far pretty good. I don't really have a strong opinon on them, but I've always enjoyed their music.

That link is from CMT, when did Hootie become country? I remember their first breakout album cracked rear view was anything but country. I will have to check it out for the free listen. Thanks.

They have a bit of country in them. Musical Chairs was mostly country flavored in my opinion. I actually like that side of them more.

I'm not talking about it because I don't like them as a band. Is it still considered thread crapping if I wouldn't be here in the first place had there been a descriptive title?

So you are saying that you have so little faith in Hootie that if you put their name in the thread title that no one would click on it? Some fan you are!

I used to hate Hootie, but thanks to your vague thread title, I'm not really excited about the new CD.

EDIT: Damn, that should have been "Now really excited," but I guess my brain wouldn't even let me say something like that sarcastically.

Everytime I look at a vague thread title, I go blind.

(repeat 700,000 times and call it a "song")

Hootie sucks. Hard.

So does your thread title. Don't do that again.

I think I'll go with a vague thread title next time. That'll get me to the second page fast!
