goooooooooooo..... Hootie!
     |
I guess I look at bands like Hootie and their playing of casinos etc. a little differently. My guess is that they have a shitload of money from their early success, and they're just playing wherever they can because that's what they like to do. I have more respect for that over, for example, Tom Petty charging a $75 minimum (after Ticketmaster fees) ticket price any day of the week.

I only wanna be with yooooooou...

Hootie is Threwtie.

redcat, i can see that. and they really are a good live show, so the fact that they are playing anywhere is good news.
but at the same time, i doubt huge venues are looking to book them anymore, which was my original point. |

Compare Petty to other acts from that day (Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles) and I think you'll find him to be the lowest he can be. Additionally where on earth did you find a $75 minimum for Petty out of curiosity. I looked, even did a search with some other forums and I can't find it.
Vegas tickets were over $100 for "obstructed view" tickets. |

Sorry, but the main difference would be that Tom Petty is worth $75+ and Hootie & The Blowhards are not.
IMO, of course. K |
