Because it killed the competition, even other competitors that gave basic versions for free, since people will just stick with what's on their computer.

And thus it's bad for consumers and no competions=no incentive for innovation and improvement.

Then what the heck is this Mozilla browser on my computer that I've been using since last year? Who made that? How did it get on my computer?

Yeah, but Mozilla is far from competing. It's just hot among tech geeks, not the general computer buying public. Point is their should be more options and companies able to make a profit off web browsers.

And Mozilla sucks IMO. Maxthon is my browser of choice.
