Krayzie Bone Interview For The Bone Fans

Enjoy

Enough is enough! After dealing with 10 years worth of frustrations, Krayzie Bone is sick and tired of Bizzy Bone's "antics". While the friction between Bizzy and Bone Thugs was made public during Bizzy's controversial appearance at a Houston radio station last month. According to Krayzie, the problems with Bizzy are deep and complex, and stem all the way back to 1995. AllHipHop.com gave Krayzie a chance to tell Bone's side of the story and address the issue involving Bizzy Bone once and for all.

AllHipHop.com: What was your reaction when you first heard Bizzy on the radio station in Houston?

Krayzie: My first reaction was like everybody else's, 'What the fuck is wrong with this motherfucker?' Then I'm thinking, 'How is all of this coming about?' Because, I am going to tell you the truth, Bizzy and me haven't had a close relationship ever since we signed with Eazy E. We were cool, and that’s my dude, but as far as us kicking it like we used to before all of this music stuff, we haven't even been on those terms. That's why you might hear in the media that Krayzie and Bizzy don't get along. But Bizzy kind of went to the left ever since we got our first big checks from Eazy E. Dude went all the way left and started acting funny. He would never show up to shows, decided not to do this or that, and was really acting like he was the star of the group. That's the route he decided go.

AllHipHop.com: I actually interviewed Bizzy twice since last summer, and he stated that the reason he wasn't showing up to various events and what not, was due to the fact that he wasn't getting paid by Ruthless, the they were basically screwing you guys over with the money.

Krayzie: Ok, that’s all cool, but what I told Bizzy and everybody in Bone was, we came into this game as family and as brothers. Ok, we knew we were being robbed by Ruthless, but we still had a job to do. We knew we were getting robbed, but that doesn't mean we should abandon everything we worked for, and just leave all your other dudes there to deal with it! And it ain't just that, because if he would have been a part of Bone from day one, and played his role like he was supposed to, we would have never had these problems. The reason why people didn't want to put money into us and do business was because they knew that Bizzy wasn't going to show up. Because everybody told us, "We want the whole group to show up". They didn't care if it was Bizzy, Layzie, Wish, or me missing - we needed everyone to be there. And man, he messed up a lot of opportunities for Bone Thugs~N~Harmony to get major money! That little shit Ruthless was robbing us for wasn't nothing compared to what we could have went out and done! We could have ventured off and did other deals. That’s why Layzie, Wish, and me stayed together and held this whole thing together this whole time. Because we knew that this was Bone, and we weren't going to abandon it just because one person wasn't holding up his end. I'm going to keep it real, Bizzy's whole situation started when he got a wind of that fame. Once he got a wind of it, and realized everybody was loving him, that shit went to his head. Bottom line is that shit went to that niggas head! Because before we even got paid and realized Ruthless Records were fucking us over, it was all good. But once we got our first paycheck from Eazy E, that ***** bounced on us. The very first royalty check he bounced! And its been hard to get that ***** back in the circle ever since then. And that was back in the end of '95. That was during the beginning of our career and that *****'s head blew up that quick! He decided he didn't need us because I guess the people around him were telling him, "Oh man, everybody loves you. You are the best in the group, you don't need them niggas".

And he really thought that, but he forgot that we really taught him how to rap. He is using Bone's style; he just put his little flavor on top of it. We raised that boy! We literally raised him and taught him the routes of the streets. That's why I never understood when he would say he's not showing up because of this or that, when he hasn't showed up since the jump. Then he goes and runs adds in magazines saying, "Bizzy Bone, the one and only star of Bone Thugs~N~Harmony". Man, that is like a smack in the face! Niggas really wanted to whop on him for that shit. So I really can't understand Bizzy sometimes. He was flipping out on us way before all the money issues. But I always knew it was that ego of his. That boy thought he was better than everybody else - bottom line. Because when we came up, we were so close. Eazy E took note to that as soon as he met us. We were so close, but then for the ***** to flip all out on us? That made us back track and think, 'What is wrong with this *****, and who is this ***** we let into our shit?' Because Bizzy was the last person to join Bone. Layzie and Flesh are brothers, and Wish is their cousin. And I've known all of them since the fifth and sixth grade, so we been down. We didn't meet Bizzy until about five years before we made it. He wasn't there throughout all of our real struggles, from when we first started rapping as the Band Aid Boys. So I guess he was never feeling the love like we were feeling the love for each other. Because I don't understand how he can just jump up and start telling people that he ain't been paid and we took all the money from the albums, when that’s bullshit. We had the motherfucking record company paying this ***** under the table, and paying him side shit, like Rolexes and shit, just so this ***** would show up! "Bizzy Bone says he isn't showing up to the video shoot unless he gets paid. Bizzy Bone says he isn't sitting on the same couch as Bone Thugs~N~Harmony". So we were like, 'This ***** is on some old Hollywood shit'. What the fuck is going on?

AllHipHop.com: Bizzy has admitted to having a drinking problem in the past. Do you think that has played a part in his behavior?

Krayzie: Oh yeah, definitely! Whenever you try and mix liquor and business, its going to always have a negative affect on the situation. People need to learn how to balance their drinking and do it away from their business. Unfortunately, this business that we are in, people like to do what they do before they go on stage or do interviews and what not, but not everybody can handle it. And the people that can't handle it should really just leave it alone. But it definitely did play a part, because you can't have a clear mind when you are drinking and smoking and trying to do business at the same time.

AllHipHop.com: Were you and Bone supportive of Bizzy? Did you try and get him to stop?

Krayzie: Ah, man, I was supportive of everything he was trying to do. But like it told you, I really don't talk to Bizzy Bone that much. I feel like we grew way apart ever since he pulled the move on us when we got our first checks, like I told you. When he pulled that move, he disappeared for awhile, and then started acting funny towards us. He would come on the scene whenever he wanted to. He would always act loud and wanted to be seen and heard at all times. And I'm not like that, I'm a quiet in the cut dude. I like to sit back in the cut and observe, and I see and watch everything. So I saw all of this coming, and I knew he wanted to be on his own. I know that people were in his ear telling him he was better than everybody else.

AllHipHop.com: Because when I interviewed Bizzy last August for AllHipHop, he told me you guys weren't supportive of his attempt to stop drinking. He said, and I quote, "So I would stop drinking for eight or nine months and they would look at me as if I was acting like I was better than them. Or I was being funny about the whole situation, when I really was not".

Krayzie: Oh my god! That is another thing I want to set straight for the record, this guy is a liar! He will completely fabricate a story. For one, like I told you, I don't even talk to dude like that. And why would I act funny towards him just because he didn't want to drink anymore? I don't really drink myself, I only do it every now and then. Why would I be mad at somebody that is trying to stop drinking? I just quit smoking weed and my niggas are still doing it. But nobody is looking at me like I'm a bitch. They understand that you have to take breaks. When you smoke like we used to, you have to take a break. If you don't, you are going to misuse your body. But the thing is with Bizzy, he is so much of a character, that you can't believe anything he says anyway. Everything that Bizzy Bone says to me, as far as business, goes in one ear and out the other. He has told me so many lies I lost count. And in the beginning, I'm not going to lie, I used to believe him. He used to tell us, "I back in, I'm down with y'all, and I'm not going to do nothing else. I need to be with y'all niggas". Then two days later, he ain't doing nothing anymore. He isn't fucking with Bone, and his attitude is completely different. People don't understand, it took a lot for us to put Bizzy Bone out of the group. We just didn't decide over night. That shit took years and years of us missing a lot of money, a lot of opportunities, and fucking our reputation up in the business, before we finally realized we had to let him go.

AllHipHop.com: I know you said you haven't talked to Bizzy, but has anybody spoken to him since the radio incident?

Krayzie: Oh yeah! When it first happened, our people called us and told us what happened. So when he started telling everybody on the radio that he was homeless, he didn't have a house, he was broke, this and that - the next day niggas jumped on a plane to go to Houston to try and help him. The very next day! I didn't go, because I had some other things I had to take care of that I couldn't just cancel. But on the other hand, I was thinking to myself, I'm not going to fly down there and deal with him and then he'll turn around and do us the same way he always has. And when Layzie and Wish flew down there, that's exactly what he did! Layzie and Wish flew down the next day to talk to him and try and get him on point. But what happened was, Bizzy basically dogged them. It was a big slap in the face! Layzie Bone told me Bizzy said, "I would rather have a ***** in the streets help me than y'all". BUT, a week before that we did a show together in Austin, Texas! And he was telling us he was riding with us, he doesn't want to be without us anymore, and he is on point. He told us, "Whatever we have to do, as long as we all do it together as Bone Thugs~N~Harmony, I'm with it!" That was a week earlier! That is why I didn't get on the plane. And after Bizzy told Layzie and Wish that, they were ready to whop on him right there. They were like, "What? We are the only people coming out here like this". So I don't understand this guy. How is this ***** homeless and has no where to stay? Me and my niggas ain't homeless, we all have nice houses. What happened to you? You were the star of the group, remember? What happened to you?

AllHipHop.com: When I interviewed him around February of this year, he told me he was living in New York City.

Krayzie: That's what I'm saying! Every couple of months there is something new with this dude. First, he stopped smoking, and then he tried to sue Ruthless Records for putting him on a song where he was talking about weed. Tried to sue them, but then a couple of months later he is back smoking. Then he stopped drinking, then all of the sudden he is homeless, and then all of the sudden he is totally saved by God. And I'm not knocking anybody for that, because I'm studying the Bible myself right now. But whatever he is doing, or wherever he is going to get his knowledge about the Bible, its not accurate at all. Because when you learn about God, you are not on the level that he is on - period! He is running around here wild! And God is not the author of confusion, that is Satan the Devil. That is what Satan means, confusion. So I'm like, 'Who are you getting your knowledge from? What books are you reading?" How are you going to talk about God to people when you are making no sense and you are cussing? Every other line you are cursing, talking about the Lord, and on top of that you are drinking and smoking. You have to practice what you preach. That is why everything he says or do, I don't pay attention to it. I'm used to it by now because I have gone through his from day one. There is no sincerity in him - at all! This ***** will tell you he is going to do something, then you can't find him. Or he will tell you flat out, "I'm not doing it". We have missed so many opportunities because of him, and people don't realize and understand that. Bizzy will personally tell radio stations, and places like MTV and BET that he will be there! These places go out of their way to make sure he will be there, but what happens? All of the sudden, he isn't coming. So now we are sitting in the studio with people whispering around, "These guys aren't about their business". But the shit is not cool, for real! He fucked up a lot of shit in Bone Thugs~N~Harmony! We just can't sit back and blame Ruthless Records. We cannot do that! Yes, they were shiesty, but we cannot put the blame solely on Tomica. Because we were men, and we could have talked and worked that shit out. We could have done it all without any hassles and no drama. Then we wouldn't have had to deal with people saying, "Don't fuck with Bone, because they are too wild, and never do what they are supposed to". And a lot of that stems from Bizzy Bone.

AllHipHop.com: A lot of people feel sorry for Bizzy, because he has been through a lot. From the problems he faced as a child, to his brother being murdered, but you guys have tried to reach out, just like you did with flying down to Houston, correct?

Krayzie: I'm not going to even lie, nobody has tried to help him more than Layzie Bone. Like I said, I'm not going to lie, I quit fucking with him a long time ago. But nobody tried to show that boy more love than Layzie! He stuck his neck out for him and gave him everything he had. Then Bizzy turns around and fucks Layzie - all the time! He tries to make Layzie look like a fool - all the time! Now Bizzy doesn't have any more legs to stand on, because Layzie is on the same level we are on now. He's like, "Fuck this *****, I'm not putting my neck out for him no more". Layzie had Bizzy staying at his house in Atlanta, when Bizzy was supposedly homeless, but Bizzy didn't want to stay there. Nobody understands this dude, he on his own little mission. But its not like we put him out in the cold. He left us back in the day and then we were forced to contractually put him out of the group. Because that was the only way that people would fuck with us. Bizzy Bone can't even really work at this point, because he is close to being black balled in this business. That’s because he doesn't handle his business correctly. I'll be doing shows and people are telling me, "Bizzy has our deposit, but he didn't show up. He ain't called either. Have you seen him?" So I tell them, I don't have anything to do with that, I'm Krayzie Bone.

AllHipHop.com: There are also rumors going around that Wish ended up smacking Bizzy around? Is that true?

Krayzie: Oh yeah. I actually wasn't there, but some things happened in Cleveland. We look at it like this. Bizzy is telling the world he is homeless and he is on the streets, but we had a nice deal on the table that would put nice money in everybody's pocket. It would have gotten him off the streets, if that is where he is, give him a nice house, and all of that. So the deal is on the table, but he doesn't want to do it. But he told these people to their face that he is going to do the deal and he is onboard with Bone. But as soon as we get that paper work and sign the deal, he doesn't want to be involved . That was the last straw, and this just happened weeks ago. So now we are all fed up and we are tired of Bizzy trying to make niggas look stupid. Its like he's been sabotaging us for our whole career. Man, its real crazy, and niggas are fed up. So I guess when Wish saw him in Cleveland that transpired. After you fuck up this nice deal on the table for Bone Thugs~N~Harmony, and then we see you doing a show in Cleveland for a punk ass five hundred to a thousand dollars? We got this big money on the table, but you don't want to fuck with it? Who the fuck are you playing with? That shit ain't cool for real, knowing that we have taken a lot of losses because of Bizzy, and he's still trying to play us like that. So now we gotta holla at you for real, and this time its not on some brother shit. So whatever happened, happened, but I wasn't there. But I heard it got a little off the hook and niggas ran up out of there real fast and broke out. But I don't know what's up with this boy Bizzy, he is on the road to destruction. Then he tries to play it off like he is so innocent, and everybody is looking at him because he is changing, and he doesn't want to rap about this stuff, and God instead. But what is he talking about? That is what we have been doing? I just don't like the way he tries to make it seem like he is the "oh so humble one", and everybody is hating on him. When that is not true at all, because its his ego that has gotten him where he is at today. From him thinking he is above everybody else.

AllHipHop.com: And this deal on the table you guys had that he didn't want to be apart of? Let me just clear this up, you guys had a deal on the table for him to rejoin Bone, is that what you are saying?

Krayzie: No, we had a contract for a new deal with a major label, who were ready to get behind us and help us get back in the game like we are supposed to be. And Bizzy was telling them he was down, feeding them all these dreams, and even making appearances with us. See, that is another thing that pisses me off about him. He can be gone for a whole year, and then when he really really needs some money, he'll fall back in line so he can do a couple of shows with Bone. One time he was gone for a whole year, and it came time for us to win a Grammy Award. I'll be damned if I come down, get in the limo, and this ***** is in the car! I ain't even going to lie, I was pissed! I was like, 'What the fuck is he doing here?' Oh, we are going to be on TV and get an award and now you wanna show up? Man, that shit had me real heated! But I was like, 'Ok, I'm gonna go along with it, Bone Thugs is back together'. It looked good, everybody loved it, so I said lets do it. But that was our biggest mistake, letting this motherfucker ride as long as we let him ride.

AllHipHop.com: And that label who offered you a deal, is that Swizz Beatz' Full Surface Records, because it has been rumored that you guys are with them?

Krayzie: Na, we are not signed at this moment. We had some things in the making, but right now we are trying to iron things out and see what direction to go in. But as of now, Bone Thugs is definitely, Krayzie, Layzie, Wish, and Flesh. Because we have to start working on recreating ourselves at this point. We ain't got time to deal with the old Bone, and the old problems of Bone. We have to recreate ourselves and move on. I honestly feel that one dude does not make Bone! I already know that we have skills and enough talent to come out and recreate ourselves and be right back to where we were. Its not going to take that much because everybody in the business is biting our shit anyway. All of these nigggas are biting Bone and 2pac's shit. We ain't really got to do too much except find that right connection and machine that will get behind us and put us where we need to be.

AllHipHop.com: I interviewed Layzie when he was doing press for the Bone Brothers album, he said you guys did about 10 tracks with Swizz?

Krayzie: Oh yeah, definitely! We have some heat too! We went in there and did some good work. And all of us were supposed to be in the studio then as well, but just us three showed up. Bizzy isn't on any of the tracks. We basically got them interested in us just from what we laid down - Layzie, Wish, and me. And just so everybody knows, that’s how all of our albums have been. We are always the first three to go in and knock the album out. All Bizzy has basically done was come in and laid his parts down. We could never get him in the studio! And when he did come in at the end, we would be talking about one thing on a song, and he comes talking about something totally different - not even on the same subject. So niggas can't tell me just because one ***** left we don't got it anymore. We have proved it time and time again. Its like what happened to N.W.A. when Ice Cube left. People thought the group was over, but they proved everyone wrong, just like we are going to do.

AllHipHop.com: So what label are you going to sign to? Is Swizz still the main option?

Krayzie: I really can't say right now, but we have to keep it moving. If the deal doesn't go down, it ain't nothing but love. We have nothing but love for Swizz and everybody at Full Surface Records. We appreciate that he took the time out to see our potential. But if it don't work out, we gotta keep it moving because we are soldiers.

AllHipHop.com: I know its early, but when do you think the next Bone album will drop?

Krayzie: We are definitely going to have something on the radio within the next couple of months. But as far as the album, it could be the end of this year, or first quarter next year. I really don't know, but its definitely coming. The album is called The Bone Thugs Story, which basically clears up everything that went on from Eazy E to now, like we are doing with this interview. We are also coming out with a DVD and a movie called The Bone Thugs Story as well.

AllHipHop.com: Layzie told me you guys are going to have beats from Kanye West and Dr. Dre on the album. Is that true?

Krayzie: We are looking to get some beats from Dr. Dre, and already recorded one track with Kanye West. The song with Kanye is called "I Ain't Going Nowhere", and its off the hook! Its shows the evolution of Bone Thugs. We stepped it up and its like a Bone track to the 50th power. We know we have to step our game up, and we have a lot of ideas for this album. We saved a lot of ideas and didn't used them for our last two albums because we knew they weren't going to get promoted right. We didn't want to waste all of our ideas on albums that weren't going to get the people's full attention.

AllHipHop.com: So you haven't worked with Dre yet, but are looking to?

Krayzie: Definitely, we have been trying to hook up with Dre for a minute, it just never went down. But its probably going to happen.

AllHipHop.com: What about DJ U-Neek, is he definitely going to be on the next Bone album?

Krayzie: Oh yeah! I deal with him all the time, and is a part of Thugline Records. We have a lot of projects in the works. What I'm doing right now is, I'm recording a lot of material with my artists on Thugline, pressing up some CD's, and putting them on the streets. Just to get a buzz and get people ready for Thugline Records.

AllHipHop.com: Who can we look for on Thugline?

Krayzie: The album that is going to be in the streets now is from an artist I had for awhile named Keef G. He is from L.A., and his album is called Krayzie Bone and Thugline Presents: Keef G. That is going to be out real soon, look for that. I got another artist by the name of Chico, he is from Cleveland, and I'm also working with a reggaeton artist, she lives in Hawaii and her name is Lea. Wish Bones first solo album is also in the works, which is coming out on Thugline. I also got my next solo album coming out on my label as well.

AllHipHop.com: Your last album Gemini came out earlier this year, but it didn’t' seem like the label promoted it at all?

Krayzie: Ah man, most definitely! They didn't promote it all! They are a company (Ball'r Records) with a lot of money, but with no knowledge about the business. And they even told me that - after I signed! But thank God my fans are into Bone enough to go and get my shit anyway. Because with the unit sold, if I was on some real independent shit, it would have been lovely. Selling that many records with no promotion is good.

AllHipHop.com: Yeah, I thought the album was right up there with your best solo work.

Krayzie: Thanks, man. That is how I like to record, and I want every project to be better than the last one. Whether its heard or not, when people look back at my track record they can see how I changed on each one of them. I'm trying to constantly evolve, and keeping doing Bone, for real.

AllHipHop.com: That Lil Jon track you had, "Get'chu Twisted" could have been a good look for you if they pushed it, the remix with Bone or the original.

Krayzie: Exactly, because it was getting radio spins before it was even released. We did a little leak for it and it was getting a lot of play. That is why I'm really not worried about my future in this business. I know, once I get the right opportunity to do what I wanna do and put it out how I wanna put it out, it’s a wrap! Whether its me or one of my artists. I don't have to blow Thugline Records up with me, I can do it with my artists. Its all about vision, and each artist you bring out, you have to know their range and what they can or cannot do. You also have to have patience, and be in the studio working all the time. If you are into music, and love it like I do, then you are going to stick with it and it will eventually pay off. I remember reading an interview with Jay-z and he said its all about patience! If you have enough patience and love for the game, you are going to stick with it and its going to pay off.

AllHipHop.com: Anything else you have going on in the future that we didn't talk about already?

Krayzie: I got a sneaker coming out in August, they are called Thugline Classics. They are being distributed through Authentic, and I'll be doing a promotional run in August, going around to all the shoe stores. Its off the hook, and you can go on the website and look at the shoe - www.Thuglinerecords.com. I just saw the first sample of it the other day and its looking good. They took polls of the anticipation of the shoes, and its been getting good scores. Its up there with a lot of big named shoes, so hopefully people pick it up when they get in the stores.

AllHipHop.com: Any last words for the fans?

Krayzie: I want to let everybody know that Bone Thugs~N~Harmony is still in the game and if there is anybody out there who thinks Bone fell off, or we are played out, just turn on the radio. Who are people trying to sound like? Its Bone, so there is no way we are played out. We are going to be here for at least another 10 or 20 years, believe me! And that’s just on the frontline, I'm not even talking about how many years we are going to be behind the scenes. When you think of Bone, think of longevity. Because we have been here, and we are going to be here! Bottom line!

Nice read bro,I love Bone to the max but if Bizzy is doing all of this they should have dumped him during the Art of War era, since I thought he went down hill from there bringing the rest down with him, glad to hear Dre and West are doing some trakes with them as well.
