No way, man. Those six minutes are epic, and fit with the theme going on with these songs / EPs. The NIN fan community is pretty convinced that this is all tied to the Year Zero story as well.
Anyway, I like this EP more than the last one. All of the songs here are pretty great.

As far as an album closer goes, I love the looping degradation. I've always enjoyed looping when something is built up. It will be a bit of a buzzkill when it shows up in a shuffled playlist though.
Agreed that Add Violence is more enjoyable than the last one as a whole.

That is a great interview, interesting to read about worrying about his kids listening to his music.

Got my physical component for ADD VIOLENCE today. Pretty nifty.

The Add Violence physical component doesn't have the black powder, but the NTAE vinyl apparently does in some capacity -- still waiting on mine to show up to see how much and if it's actually on the vinyl or what.

I got a shipping notice for my vinyl copies of TDS and Broken, and then got a second email saying there was something wrong with the tracking. Guess I'll get them eventually!

Yeah, USPS was down the other day, so a bunch of online stores sent out emails saying not to worry.
My Broken vinyl came with a crease on the cover, but is otherwise ok. Still haven't got my Deviations replacement cover, though.

Mine arrived too, and my copy of Broken has failing glue at the bottom of the outer jacket, so it's opened up. Record sounds okay though.

^ Give it time. It'll be back. The only truly "limited" items are the weird physical components for the new EPs and the Fragile Deviations I set. My understanding is that everything else will get re-pressed as stock runs out.
The problem is that the previous partner they were using for fulfillment was trash, and the new one sucks at shipping vinyl, so they've had to do a bunch of replacements for folks who got damaged copies.

The score for Ken Burns' Vietnam War is up on the NIN.com in vinyl format, and available digitally elsewhere. Haven't listened yet, but looking forward to checking it out tonight.

I have the iTunes version on now. If you like the soundtracks for Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl you should be pleased.

Could be a pricing error, but the Vietnam War vinyl is up on Best Buy for only $14.

Surprised this wasn't updated:
Did anyone end up going to camp out for the "physical world" presale tickets?
Also -- if anyone in, or will be in, the Vegas area June 15, I have a pair of GA Floor tickets for their show at the Joint I can't use anymore due to work travel. PM me if interested.
In June, Nine Inch Nails will conclude their trilogy that began in December 2016 with Not the Actual Events and continued in July 2017 with Add Violence. The new record is called Bad Witch, spans six tracks, and will be released on June 22nd. Check out the cover art and tracklist below.
In explaining why it took nearly a year for the third record to come to fruition, frontman Trent Reznor said: “We started out with a rigid concept, having not written them all. As we finished Add Violence we found ourselves… it felt too predictable. It felt like we were forcing things. Musically and storytelling-wise. The reason this has been delayed is because it took us a while for—what has become the third [record]—to reveal itself to us.”
Update: Whereas Not the Actual Events and Add Violence were presented as EPs, a representative for Nine Inch Nails says Bad Witch is considered an “album.”
Along with the record, Nine Inch Nails have announced an expansive North American tour. Kicking off in September, the “Cold and Black and Infinite” tour spans 26 dates and features The Jesus and Mary Chain in a supporting role.
Bad Witch Tracklist:
01. Shit Mirror
02. Ahead of Ourselves
03. Play the Goddamned Part
04. God Break Down the Door
05. I’m Not From This World
06. Over and out

I did for the Denver show. Got there around 6:30 solo, chatted with the people around me, checked out the stuff brought in for the event, made it out with tickets at 11:30. It was an ok experience, but not one I'd like to do again. I did get really good seats without much stress, so there's that.

heard the new track (don't know the name of it) While I'm always for an artist exploring new areas......the song did nothing for me - turned it off after about 30 seconds.

Yeah, I'm afraid the new/recent stuff hasn't done much for me in quite a while. But I've been listening to them since Pretty Hate Machine came out, so I think we have both moved on in separate directions during the course of the past near 30 years.

Well, I'm glad I went back to it because I'm definitely into it now. I'm surprised at how much I like Bad Witch now.
I can also stop bitching about not the actual events not being on disc either - now I have all 3 on disc and that makes me happy.
I definitely prefer a full album at once though over this style of release - I understand it works better for the band but the fans kind of suffer a bit from it..
