I was all set to produce this link to trump whatever your link was, but after seeing yours there's no contest. Yours wins hands down.

There's so many bad covers. Most of the time it's because they strip all the emotion out of the song, like the usual shitty American Idol singers.
Madonna's butchering of American Pie has been mentioned, and deservedly so.
As was also previously mentioned, A Perfect Circle should have been shot as soon as they announced they were covering "Imagine."
I'll add to the list:
Sheryl Crow's "The First Cut is the Deepest"
Toad the Wet Sprocket's "Rock & Roll All Night"
But as someone that hates "nu metal" or whatever it's called, I really like Disturbed's cover of "Shout." The singer's voice reminds me of Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, and the band sounds a lot like the classic 80's heavy metal.

i think disturbed has been unfairly put into the nu metal categorie. they are a great metal band that i think most 80's and 90's metal fans would love if they hadnt only heard the first few hits. check out their last cd "believe" ...to me that is a metal masterpiece...david has one of the best metal voices out their. its refreshing to see a new band that doesnt just scream.
