Ryan Adams was just added to the list at the Werchter festival. I'm stoked!!! I didn't even think he was going to tour in Europe.

So far only:

Anger Management 3 - 08/01/2005 - Ford Ampitheater

BDB 05-02-05 06:45 PM

tonight Snow Patrol / Embrace at the Warfield.

Giles 05-02-05 06:58 PM

try to steal a setlist from Embrace

BDB 05-03-05 02:34 AM

no stolen setlist, 9 songs or so, mostly from the new cd, which is released in a month.

Not bad, they mentioned one time to many for me that they were a support band for the 1st time in 9 years.

you say mostly, what were the other non-new album songs?

- "All You Good Good People"?
- "The Good Will Out"?
- "Come Back To What You Know"
- "Fireworks"

??

the new album IMO isn't there best by a long shot, they deserve better than a supporting gig.

BDB 05-03-05 11:20 AM

what no East Coast dates, are did that leg already happen... I saw Embrace at the Reading Festival a couple of years back headlining the NME Tent but caught around 25 minutes before running over to the mainstage to see Pulp (the ended with their classic and personal favourite song: "Babies").

(sigh)... well you saved me a trip to the 9:30 Club the night of.

wasn't Athlete part of last nights show?

BDB 05-03-05 01:02 PM

nope no athlete here.. and this was just announced, so I'd say they'll do an east coast leg, the album's out in June so for the first time they will have something to tour in support of.

Jones Beach and PNC tix just went on sale - picked up a few cheap $15 tix.

Duran Duran @ JB
Hall and Oates/TFF @ JB
Cheap Trick/Alice Cooper @ PNC.

My friends and I may go to Motley Crue too, but we're not sure yet.

LCD Soundsystem/M.I.A

the Killers/Keane show just added Maximo Park to the lineup - this should be a great show!

I saw Ben Folds and Rufus last year and Ben was great. Rufus I thought was awful and just droned on and on in the same nasal monotone voice all night long. I'm usually very open when it comes to different musical styles, but his set was actually painful to sit through. Needless to say I can't decide if I want to go see them again this year or not, I'm not familiar with Ben Lee, I wish Guster was playing with them again, I'd be there for sure for that.

too bad about rufus. Hes actually the reason i'm going. I really love his albums, never seen him live. Ben Folds i've hardly listened too, but look foward to his set.

ben lee is a singer/songwriter who became a c list celebrity when he started dating clare daines. hes australian and great. I've seen him live, (with jason swartzman on drums) and he was wonderful.

Going to see Built To Spill tonight at the ol' reliable Mississippi Nights. I know a couple of people who saw them in Chicago a few weeks ago and they supposedly put on an amazing two-and-a-half hour set. The wife and I can't wait.

Anybody know/like Mike Johnson? He is the opening act...
