BOSTON AREA FANS -

I don't know how accurate the rumors are but there is some modest buzz going around that U2 may (note the word MAY) play Fenway Park on September 10th, and 11th as U2 opens leg 3 of the tour up on September 12th in Toronto, the Red Sox are on an extended road trip, and the past 2 years Red Sox management have booked big time concerts at Fenway

So 7 total shows in Boston this year? (3 for the first leg, 2 in October and 2 possibly in September). Sweet!

got a balcony ticket for the October 3rd show....

both Boston shows sold out in 20 minutes, they added a show in December, which I got a GA Floor Ticket for

so if the Fenway shows are true, it'd mean there is going to be 8 U2 shows in Boston in 2005

Ok, so you hardcore U2 people explain it to me please. I got some tickets for Atlanta because I live here and I always wanted to see them live. I wasnt quite aware of the riot like conditions surrounding ticketsales for them. Even then - people are buying tickets for the show 2,3,4,6 times even back to back days.. Is it just that awesome (have never been) or is it just for the 'few' hardcore hardcore fans?

I wish it was just a "few" then tixs would be easier to get.
I try to explain to others why I attend so many shows, one reason is they now only tour every 4 years so I try to get as many in to hold me over. The only downside with seeing so many shows on one tour is that U2 really doesn't mix up the setlist like Springsteen does.

Maybe when you see the show you can understand what U2 does live...I'm sure you will enjoy it.

p.s. I was able to get tixs for two more shows at MSG

I've seen them about 5 times a tour since the Joshua Tree. (My first show was the US Festival in 1983)...it's something I like to do. So far I've got about 5-6 shows lined up, but I know I will see about 8-10 this tour...

Will they play in Japan?

My friend says they have not been there for a while.

Tickets went on sale today at 10 am EST for the Canadian dates.

I was able to score tickets to the Toronto show for Monday 09/12/05.

They also added two more Toronto dates, 09/16/05 and 09/17/05, so that's 4 dates that they are playing at the ACC.

I ran two searches (one on IE and one on Netscape browser). Netscape got me uppers directly in front of the band (of course very far, but a straight shot) and IE got me tickets (which i searched literally 20 seconds after I started Netscape) behind the stage...Wow..I don't know how people who went in line got tickets if they weren't #1-3 in line.

Damn, I knew it would be tough to get tix, but I missed out completely on their Minneapolis show Sept. 23. I know they have an open date right before that concert and after it and heard rumors they will add another one though, so maybe I will still be able to luck into some tickets. I tried to get floor tickets and they were sold out after the system finally let me through after 15 minutes, so I tried other $49.50 tickets and had a chance at sitting upper deck behind the stage, but I'm not paying $100+ for a pair of those kind of tickets.

I cannot take this anymore. This is third time I try for tickets through Ticketmaster, and come up short. Is there a trick to working the Ticketmaster site? I find myself refreshing the page a hundred times before the ticket selection option appears. I get in as soon as the site loads, and after 15 minutes of waiting, the Garden sells out two shows. I am so pissed off right now.

Joe, your best bet is to go to an actual Ticketmaster booth, not online if you want a better chance at getting tickets, but even that's not a guarantee since the shows still sell out fast.
