Nirvana: "Nevermind" [Classic Albums] dvd

Nirvana's “Nevermind” is the latest storied release to get the “Classic Albums” treatment as part of Eagle Rock's ongoing behind-the-scenes DVD series. Due March 22, the project features interviews with surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, as well as producer Butch Vig, Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Sub Pop Records principals Jonathan Poneman and Nils Bernstein.

Of particular interest is Vig's sequence, which finds him manipulating master tapes at the mixing console to break down how specific tracks came to fruition. Also included is a live clip of “Polly” and featurettes about Grohl joining the band and the creation of the “Nevermind” album cover, which infamously depicted a nude baby submerged in a swimming pool, with a dollar bill dangled in front of its face.

If you've seen the documentary for "The Joshua Tree", you know how cool of a segment this will be.

This part of the Lou Reed Transformer DVD is pretty cool, too.

I've only seen the Fleetwood Mac dvd but yeah, it was really neat to hear it broken down like that.

I'd rather have Live! Tonight! Sold Out!

But we should have both.
