Are you mental? It was staged! There were signs all over the club saying that there are cameras all over place recording the show. Its for the new single/music video which happens to be "Sex is not the Enemy" The goddamn black police man was laughing his ass off as he left the stage!

So all I have to say is again, what the fuck? Everyone thought it was probably staged, expecting them to come back out. They didn't. People waited for ten minutes, until people started dismantling the drum-set. At that point everyone started thinking maybe this wasn't an act. Now I can see the whole thing being a "our bodies are natural, fuck the US making sex so looked down upon." But the whole thing was really bizarre, and Duke really got into it with the cop. My question is, did this happen at any other tour dates? I did some searching, didn't see anything concerning this. If they didn't do that at other tours, I'd say chances are the whole thing was real.
I'd say 2/3 of the people there were convinced she really got arrested after they didn't come back out or even say "Goodbye, DC!". And it really felt real. The band members were playing and stopped mid-song and ran to get into it with the cops, and one of the cops grabbed the microphone from Shirley and said "Shows over." So if this was an act, there were a lot of idiots like me convinced it was real.

Three cops ran to the stage, pulled Shirley off and one of the cops got in a tussle with Duke... A bouncer had to seperate the two. Regarding the fake-flash, the cops came running from the sides, so they could have assumed she was flashing. So all I have to say is again, what the fuck? I saw them Friday night and they kicked ass. Guitars were cranked up and Shirley sounded great.

Finally saw the video for "Sex is not the enemy" and now I know what you've been talking about. It happened exactly as you said it did.Originally Posted by coladar

Saw them the other night in Costa Mesa...they were great. Actually made me want to give "Bleed Like Me" a better chance (I think I listened to it once or twice and haven't really gotten into it)
Hot Hot Heat opened and was terrific too.

When I saw them in Belgium at the Werchter festival, Shirley was wearing a dress and lifted up her skirt to show the audience her granny panties. Great moment
