Name this Joe Satriani song...

I heard a Joe Satriani song on a classic rock station last night...I know nothing of him, other than that I've heard he's a hell of a guitarist (and this song proves it). It was basically just a long (6 or 7 minute) guitar solo, I don't even remember hearing anything else (maybe all his music is just him on guitar with no drums or vocals?).

I know that's not much help, but I'm assuming there aren't many Satriani songs played on the radio (since I don't remember hearing any, really), so maybe that narrows the choices down a lot. Thanks tons to anybody who can help.

My guess would be either "Flying in a blue dream", "Summer song" or "Satch boogie". I haven't heard too many satriani songs on radio myself.

I'd also guess Satch Boogie.

Not to hijack, but which is the Satriani song that sounds like an instrumental version of Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home"?

Might want to go to Amazon and listen to some of the Satriani song samples they have...maybe one of them will catch your ear.

Seriously, the description you gave describes about 75% of his material.

Foole is right, a lot of his stuff has the same vibe and probably can't be ID'd by anything less than hearing them for yourself. you should get on the iTunes store. they have tons of clips from Satriani on there.

for what its worth, the only Satriani song i ever remember hearing on the radio (WDVE in Pittsburgh) is Summer Song.
