R.E.M.'s Chronic Town ever released on CD?

I know it was included on some compilation disc, I've got it downstairs somewhere, but was the Chronic Town EP ever issued as a CD release, with UPC and all that jazz? I've got a pretty decent REM CD collection, and I can't stand not having their first album on a CD on my shelf.

thanks

Allmusic.com says no:

Releases Year Type Label Catalog #
CS IRS SP-70502
1982 IRS 0502
EP IRS 44797-0502-1
1990 LP A&M 70502
EP IRS 44797-0502-4

And a Gemm.com search (of worldwide used/new record stores) doesn't produce anything.

Sorry.

I don't think so and I'm oh-so-glad that they bothered to put it out at all on the Dead Letter Office comp, it's such a great EP.

BTW milo, do you happen to have this R.E.M. CD:

I used to own a copy, never shoulda sold it I guess.

I use the artwork of Chronic Town for my Dead Letter Office disc.
Those are the songs that matter on that release.

Holy carp! I was putting my CDs on rateyourmusic.com, and I discovered I don't have Dead Letter Office on CD! Just an old cassette in my car and it doesn't have the Chronic Town material on it.
I see the IRS Vintage disc has the tracks, does the regular one also?

tks

Yep, they've both got Chronic Town included. I think it would make more sense (and I'd listen to it more) if it were tacked onto Murmur, but at least it's on something.
