I don't only listen to these artists just to hear their voices, but it definitely is a plus:

Hope Sandoval - Mazzy Star

Layne Staley/Jerry Cantrell - Alice in Chains

Aimee Mann

Mark Olson/Gary Louris - The Jayhawks

Ben Harper

Jack Johnson

Chris Martin - Coldplay

Chris Cornell - Soundgarden/Audioslave

Jimi Williams - Doves

oh hell yes...if you haven't seen them live, do it ASAP. on stage that woman does nothing but drink, smoke, and sing her lungs out all while looking like she has 101 better places to be. so good.

others:
Johnny Cash
Maynard James Keenan
Chris Isaak
Chaka Malik - Orange 9mm, Burn
Brandon Boyd - Incubus
Keb' Mo'
Lemmy Kilmister - Motorhead
Speedo - Rocket From the Crypt, The Sultans
Mike Ness - Social Distortion
Nash Kato - Urge Overkill

it should be noted that the above artists have distinct voices that i like the sound of but shouldn't indicate that they are the only reason i listen to the artist/band.

For the voice, it's all about the female singer, my favorite album in paranthesis:

Tori Amos (From the Choirgirl Hotel)
Chantal Kreviazuk (What If It All Means Something)
Charlotte Martin (On Your Shore)
Natalie Imbruglia (White Lilies Island)

Which artists have amazing voices? Not that the lyrics necessarily suck, but their voice is so amazing that you don't care what they are singing because of how they are singing it.

Very easy question:

Freddie Mercury by far #1.

David Bowie

They are vocally perfect, IMO.

George Michael is probably third. Music terrible, but FANTASTIC vocals.
