Is there a worser band than Good Charlotte?
The extensive play on MTV has me convinced they are the worst band ever. I know people will look back years from now and say they were a crappy band but I'm saying it now. They are AWFUL.

For me, it's not so much that they're the most worsest, but that I can't distinguish them from Bowling For Soup, SR-71, A Simple Plan, etc. As far as I can tell, they're all the same group.

Last week they played an outdoor show at the Tower Records down the street from our office. Three hours before the concert was even supposed to start, there were hundreds of people on line. In five years those kids in line will look back on this experience and want to kill themselves.

I think there is a line dividing bands that dont suck from bands that totally suck. Good Charlotte and many other crappy popular bands out there today totally suck, but it's really hard to say who is the worst.

I met Good Charlotte in 2002 and I like them because all we did was talk about my favorite band, Green Day.

Death Cab for Cutie is far, far, far, worse than Good Charlotte. And i think Good Charlotte sucks about as much ass as i though possible...that is until i heard the horror show that is Puke Cab.

I guess I have to be the one to stand up for Good Charlotte. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean anything. I get sick and tired of seeing people trash music, especially pop music, because they don't like it. I actually am not a big Good Charlotte fan at all, but I do think a couple of their songs are decent and I enjoy more than a few of them.

Actually, the song in that "mall punk" style I hate the most right now is from A Simple Plan, "Welcome to My Life". I swear the lyrics sound like the lamest whiny teenege angst crap I've ever heard.

Not a big fan of them specifically. Their 'look', at least the member that dresses like some sort of hardcore goth/punk fellow covered in tatoos, bad makeup, and weird hair doesn't really match their music though.

I don't like them much as a bad, but one of their songs is ok. On the other hand I really like the guys, they have a lot of energy live which almost offsets the music they play. Even better I talked to them at Warped Tour a couple years ago and Benji introduced me to the Vandals.
So for that reason they are cool in my book, plus they are making a ridiculous amount of money and I bet they can spell better than me too. |
They get all kinds of air play on my local alternative station. I can't stand them really. But I would have to say a worse group is Jimmy Eat World. I cringe everytime they are on the radio.
And also honorable mention to Billy Talent. I'd like to know what talent it is because it isn't singning. Thats my contribution to the thread. :) |

Sorry. If anybody likes DCFC, that is cool, but after seeing them live, I can say they are without a doubt the worst band I have ever seen live in over 22 years and many hundreds of live show.
I am sure many people think the bands I like suck ass. |
I can't believe you said Jimmy Eat world is a worse band than Good Charlotte.
Granted the stuff that actually comes out as their radio singles, on the last 2 albums are so so, i despised "the midde"...but on the whole their albums are really good, especially Clarity which was a staple album in 2001 for the indie/emo music scene. They are also an amazing band live. And that Death Cab for cutie comment, wtf is that about, I won't even honor that with a reply Besides, both these bands are not even in the same genre/style of music as Good Charlotte, they aren't really comparable at all.
