Trail of Dead Tour
So far I only know of two dates.
October 19th at the Recher Theatre in Baltimore.
October 23rd at the Opera House in Toronto.
I'll be going to the Recher show. It just sucks that the new album got pushed back to the beginning of next year.

Saw them in STL twice a couple years ago (once opening for
Queens of the Stone Age).
At this small club show, this place was the tiniest box, and Trail of Dead just blew the roof off the place.
It's always fun to see them set up in a circle, and just getting up and trading off instruments right in the middle of songs.
Go see these guys, they're outstanding.

I'm still waiting for my Worlds Apart single to come in the mail. I heard the new material is quite different from their other stuff. The new stuff sounded good live though.

They aren't coming to St. Louis this time around.

Edit: Yancey, Fallow, and I all agree on something. This is cause for celebration.

Worlds Apart (the album) is now available online for anyone who wants to preview.
Also, don't go making judgments of albums you have "not heard" yourself.
You may wanna Grab It and check it out before a purchase though.
This is the arthouse version of their normal hard-rock arthouse stuff, if you were hoping for a carbon copy of their other records then this one isn't for you.
There are some short interlude/songs, some slow stuff, some poppier stuff, some harder stuff, and other stuff.
Happy Trails

I've been listening to the new songs and I like them a lot. It's definately different from their older stuff, but it's really good. The album comes out this coming Tuesday. There are two different versions. One of them has a DVD.

Now that I bought the album and had a few more listens, the whole thing is really starting to feel pretty dull to me. I think this might go down as my biggest disappointment musically this year.

Is this guy's voice as annoying live, as it is on record? Nails on a chalkboard, man...
He ruins what would be good songs with one of the worst voices in rock.
I'd like them if it wasn't for the ugly aesthetics of their sound.
