Youre right it is easier doing Linkin Park songs. After all, onomatopoeia's can be difficult especially coming from some bands.

I think you are being a bit hard on Linkin Park. While their lyrics may not be varied in subject matter, how many bands truly are?

Most artists write about something they feel passionate about and then stick to what they know. How many pop artist sing about love? How many hip-hop artists sing about their fortune? etc.

So while Linkin Park tends to emphasise melodrama in their lyrics, there is more to their music than just the words by one band member. While the lyrics may not be that original they could be worse and the music is wuite original. LP is one of the more creative of the "nu-metal" style, for example: they incorporated a japanese flute in one of their songs.

It isn't worth writing off an artist for bad lyrics. There are many artists I enjoy that have "bad" lyrics: quarashi, NERD, (newer) red hot chili peppers, beastie boys, rob dougan, etc..

I think it is worth trying to keep an open mind about Linkin Park, if you listen to the albums as a whole rather than just the radio songs you might find out you like them like me.
