Austin City Limits Festival - Advice

Hi,

I've never been to the ACLF and would like some advice. Particularly which hotels to stay in, items to bring, shuttle info, etc. Any help is much appreciated.

We're staying in a hotel right on Sixth Street. Can't remember what it is, but it's a chain hotel (Hampton or something similar). I'd definitely recommend staying as close to Sixth Street as possible. There are tons of festival shuttle stops and that's where the majority of the Austin nightlife is located and where most of the after festival shows will be.

Last year, a lot of people had camping chairs. That was a great idea, and I wish I'd had one.

Also, arrive early. Virtually no hassle getting in if you're there when the gates open.

Overall, I had a blast last year. It was the most well-organized festival I'd ever been to. Regular shuttles, relatively cheap food and drink, few restroom lines. Got there as soon as the gate's opened, and never waited to get in. Can't wait for this year's...

Well, I was asking because I did a search for Sixth St. and the search engine I used pulled up a bunch of hotels on different streets.

Thanks for letting me know that that's the only name it goes by, though... smartass.
