Anyone else "against" greatest hits albums
#26
DVD Talk Gold Edition
I dislike "greatest hits" albums because it takes away from what the artist intended in terms of album presentation (i.e., songs aren't necessarily arbitrarily put together, but sequenced in a specific order for a particular flow). But that also depends on the artist(s); some are better left as "greatest hits" since it contains all their siganture pieces.
The other problem I have with greatest hits is that while the material might have been very popular, there are many other tracks that I think are great that aren't represented.
And I also dislike it when they give fuller/better liner notes or additional new songs that can't be found on the original album counterparts.
