Which CD's to get?

So these are the CD's I was thinking about getting:

Daydream Nation - Sonic Youth
Sister - Sonic Youth
EVOL - Sonic Youth
Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan
Unplugged - Bob Dylan
Danzig - III
Wilco - Being There

Now looking at my credit card statement today I suddenly feel very poor so I'm not going to be buying all of these. I already have a lot of Dylan so I'mthinking of putting those off, I'm also thinking I can wait on Danzig. I only have Dirty by Sonic Youth so I'm really leaning towards picking up Sister or Daydream Nation. I also really like Summerteeth and especially Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco so I really want to get Being There. I'll probably end up getting a Sonic Youth CD and Being There but was wondering what you all thought. Among my list what two would you get and why?

Sister and Daydream Nation.

Two of the greatest records ever created. They have the power to change lives and have done so.

I would scratch Danzig off that list, but that's just me.

Daydream Nation!
and Sister. Hands down.

I agree with Rivero, forget Danzig III, The first two Danzig's are the only worthwhile ones IMO (not counting Samhain and Misfits).

As great as they are, I would hold off on the Sonic Youth purchases until the remastered versions come out (later this year?). You'll get plenty of bonus material to go along with the improved sound.

No <3 for Bob?

"Blonde On Blonde" is timeless classic. Right beside "Highway '61 Revisited".

Get them both. Trust me.

Edit to add: You don't own "Goo" by Sonic Youth either. Get that too.

Being There is Alt Country, versus Summer Teeth and YHF. It's good, nonetheless, but it is definitely more Alt Country.

Danzig 3 is pretty good. I'd recommend II or I, but if you have (and like those) 3 is right up your alley.

I've got 'Highway 61 Revisited', I think I'll wait on 'Blonde on Blonde' although I do plan to pick that one up one day.

I actually don't have any Danzig, only Misfits. I think I'm going to hold off getting this one too but I'll check out 1 and 2 before I get 3.

That's what I hear but I'm a pretty big fan of Summerteeth and YHF. I also really like the new one so I'm thinking this is one I'm going to pick up. I'm usually don't like country music all that much but maybe if it's Wilco it won't be so bad.

Run don't walk and get "Blonde on Blonde" and pick up "Daydream Nation" while you are at it.

Blonde on Blonde and Daydream Nation. I've probably listened to BoB more than any other album ever. There was a six month period back in '81 when it was the only thing I listened to.

Re: Which CD's to get?

Daydream Nation - Sonic Youth
Sister - Sonic Youth

Because they're my two favorite albums of all time, bar none. I keep thinking I like something else better, but then I hear that drum beat at the beginning of "Schizophrenia" or the no-wave strumming intro to "The Sprawl" and I'm home. Sonic Youth, there is no substitute.

Go with the natural progression and pick up Samhain before getting Danzig s/t or Lucifuge.

I know a lot of people that like Danzig III, but I personally just couldn't get into it. To this day though I still put on his first two solos, they are great albums.
