favorite VELVET UNDERGROUND album?
.................
i've only heard their debut album and the one they did with nico. at first i thought they were annoying and overrated, but it soon grew on me. i love that song PALE BLUE EYES. im looking to pick up their other stuff now.
i like self titled more than nico

My favorite, however, is their third LP, The Velvet Underground.

The Velvet Underground
(OK, actually it's 1969 Velvet Underground Live With Lou Reed, but I don't know if that counts.)
It was originally a double album, but then someone had the bright idea to release it as two, separate CDs.

I feel that "Loaded" has some of Lou's best songs and holds together as a great album although it was pretty much just tossed together. But I have a soft spot for the 1st album "The Velvet Underground + Nico."
(I remember when I got that first LP with the peelable banana on the cover. I peeled off the banana peel expecting there to be some pictures of the band. What a naive kid I was.)
