largest CD Purchase you've ever made
Yesterday, I went on a "CD outting", w/ some friends and that's what sparked this thread. I was wondering what's the most $$$ any of you have spent, in a single day, on CDs? I set my record, yesterday - $329.21. It hurt, but it felt sooo good, @ the same time.
Look forward to seeing other's records (and moments of shame)

About 200 dollars. After my whole collection got stolen, my first outing to rebuy them was most of my NIN collection, which was basically everything you can find at Tower Records since that's the store I had to go to.

fortunately for me, i've never had to spend a huge amount to get a truckload of cds. i just join BMG and CH over and over again.
so, to answer the question: probably about $100 at a single time.

Dollars wise... about 150-200 after my truck was broken into 6 years ago, I had to replace some rare cds and found a place online that had them... for a price
Number of cds... probably about 50 at one time, Camelot music years ago had a ton of cd's on clearance ALL MARKED at 39 CENTS!!! Alot of import singles in the mix... still have probably about 10 of them... many I traded in on cd shops for alot of credit
I havent bought as many today... but scan the local pawn shops.. most sell cds for a buck or less... even new ones

When I did more work related trips I would manage to shop for days. I never totalled it up but when I'd hit LA, SF, Boston and NY I would bring back up to 100 cds-many of them used.

About $350 in one day combined at Other Music and Kim's, both in NYC.
I wish I could just join BMG and CH over and over again, but their selection is pitiful at best. I'm not interested in major label stuff, so they don't cut it for me.

I usually buy Cds when they come out, usually buying only a couple at a time, but several different times in a month. The most recent exception was that I just bought the entire Iced Earth back catalog in one shot after seing then in concert (about 100 bucks). Century Media had a 20% off sale for all Iced Earth cds, and consiering most CM cds go for about $12 anyway, it was a hell of a deal.

The most cd's I've ever gotten at once is three, so probably about $35. If I get too many cd's at the same time I usually don't have enough time to give them all a good listen before something new is released that I want to get.
