So... how many bands have you seen Live?
It seems that Ive seen 100s of concerts over the last 18 years (Def Leppard with Tesls being my 1st in 87) I just thught it would be kinda fun to figure out who we have seen and how mant times.

I'm 40. I started going to concerts when I was in high school. When I was in my 20s I played in rock bands and used to hang out in rock clubs almost every night. You do the math.

Man, some of you have seen tons of concerts.
Here is my list. Bands on one line were all part of one concert event U2 - First leg of the Zoo TV tour Midnight Oil, Hothouse Flowers, Ziggy Marley Go-Go's, B 52's Sarah McLachlan Lilith Fair x 2 (two different years. Artists consited of Sarah McLachlan, Indigo Girls, Paula Cole, Heather Nova, others I can't recall) Jonatha Brooke x2 Alanis Morissette, Garbage |
Major bands? A ton. Bands in clubs? A thousand? I don' t know... some bands I've seen 20, 30, and a couple even over 100 times.
Let's see... going out to shows 3-4 times a month from '85 to '91. 2-3 times a week from '91 to '98. Slowing down to about 1 show a week from '99-01. Now it's about 1 show a month. Each show I've seen at least 1 band, but sometimes up to 8 bands (sometime's I'd hit 3 clubs in a night). Let's make it 3 bands a night when I go out to keep it simple... That's a lot of shows! 4314 performances by looking at the most conservative estimates. Probably should cut that in half to make it sound even remotely realistic. Many of those bands were duplicates (seen the Supersuckers about 30 times, Goo Goo Dolls 30 times, Rugburns/Poltz over 100 times). Damn! Glad I still have my hearing! |
