beggars banquet is my favourite, and i feel their most consistent album. no filler there. great slide guitar work. 5/5
... between the buttons (uk or us) is a close second for me. pretty eclectic.

I voted for Let It Bleed over Beggar's Banquet, for sentimental reasons more than anything. I used to do a lot of heavy drinking to an old roommate's scratched up copy, 20 or so years ago. I think if you took the a-side of Let It Bleed and combined it with the b-side of Beggar's Banquet you'd have the perfect Stones album.

Considering that none of their albums were even consistent until Aftermath, that somewhat narrows down the playing field. It's hard to choose between the UK version of Aftermath, the US version of Between The Buttons, and Let It Bleed, but I'm going with Let It Bleed.

While the UK version of Aftermath is great, really, there are only two competitors:
Let It Bleed and Beggars Banquet
Beggars has: Sympathy for the Devil, No Expectations, Dear Doctor, Jigsaw Puzzle, Street Fighting Man, Factory Girl and Salt of the Earth as my favorite tracks a great 7 out of 10 tracks or 70%.
Let It Bleed Has: Let It Bleed, Love In Vain, Midnight Rambler (but the Ya-Ya's version is MUCH better), Gimme Shelter, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Monkey Man and Country Honk; totaling 7 out of 9 tracks or ~78%.
Since Let It Bleed has higher percentage, more groundbreaking songs, and it is the final OFFICIAL release on ABKCO, I declare it the winner.
No Stones' album is perfect (except Exile), but these two come damn close.
