Whoa! There's Henry Rollins!

I was just flipping channels and landed on a syndicated airing of the Drew Carey Show. Henry Rollins was on there acting as a guy who Oswald paid to beat him up. Wow. Would've never thought he would be on that show.

Yeah, it's that kind of Friday night.

That's cool. He does a lot of small bit parts, doesn't surprise me too much. Have you seen his spoken word live? It's a great way to spend 3 hours. He's a good guy.

Yeah, I've seen him 3 times. The first time, I met him after the show and he signed one of his books for me. He was shorter than I thought he'd be, but he has a deathgrip for a handshake.

During one of the shows, I remember him saying how he gets a lot of crap for "selling out" by doing Hollywood movie roles, Gap ads, etc. He just explained that that was his way to fund his 2.13.61 publishing company. Which is pretty cool.

He also said how cool it was to have Al Pacino beat him up on film.

I actually much prefer his spoken word stuff to his music.

After a show Rollins passed by me and I gave him a pat on his back while saying "Good show!" (like they used to say to Elvis hehe). First, sweat just exploded all over when I patted him on the back, then he just turned around and gave me a big "thumbs up".

Cool guy and yes, he is part animal, part machine

Henry Rollins is awesome, I've seen his spoken word show five times, music once. I also got to interview him once, it was great.
