Maybe also some Luna or Lenord Cohen.
Sounds very cool to me.

Throw in some Chainsaw Kittens, or Tyson Meade. FYI Tyson is gay and a lot of the Kittens lyrics reflect it.
I would recomend CK - Dorothy's LAst Fling, Mouthful of Glass, Tongue Trick. Or from Tyson's solo effort, well anything on his Motorcycle Childhood especially Aunt Ruby's Porch, Nude Man with a Horn, Reverse Nelson-Inside Crotch.

Some Depeche Mode I Want to Drive.

I guess we're(dramatically) "life partners." It's so funny. We've discussed it, like, "What do wecall each other?" I said, "Companion?" and Mark was like, "Well, companion sounds like we're an elderly couple on a bird-watching trip."

I particularily liked the comment

"Well, companion sounds like we're an elderly couple on a bird-watching trip."

I stand (happily) corrected. I was so sure I had seen an interview where he had stated he wasn't gay - oh well, the more the merrier.

Why? She is a crap singer who has transposed the song down to suit her flat toneless voice and the song has lost it's impact.

I've got the job of supplying the music, my mate loves all the usual gay anthems so i need help putting a good playlist together

So, are you going to tape the songs and just play them back to back or will there be an attempt to mix them (DJ style)?

RuPaul - SuperModel
CeCe Penniston - Finally/We Got A Love Thang
Deee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart
Madonna-Vogue
Liza Minneli - Am I Losing My Mind
Pet Shop Boys - Go West (much better than the Village People's version)

I'll search through my CD's for more!

How could I forget Kylie Minogue?

"Spinning Around," "More, More, More," "Better The Devil You Know," and "Fever" should all go over well.

well there goes several princess points for not remembering RuPaul's "Supermodel"

the best version of "Go West" is the "Mings Gone West: First and Second Movement" which is basically a fantastic 10 minute extended edit of the song.

hey fellow Washingtonian

Not really "gay" tho...are they? Other than having 80's songs...rock groups don't tend to be big with the gays.

I wouldn't call them "rock" groups.

Songs like "With Or Without You", "New Year's Day", and many Police songs sound very gay-friendly to me.

Perhaps I'm the lone exception I much prefer good ol' rock and roll. I do really like Madonna's last three albums, though.....

Oh...I agree. I love rock music too. But I would say my musical tastes are really gay as well.

And you'll NEVER hear The Police or U2 at a gay bar.

I think some Sparks songs may be along the lines of various mentioned before e.g. Beat the Clock, Number One Song in Heaven and This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us. And I think they may have worked with or otherwise influenced The Pet Shop Boys and Bronski Beat/Erasure....

Check out the Amazon.com sampler: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...215168-7169714

We Are Family - Sister Sledge
Beautiful Life - Ace of Base
Short-Short Man - Gillette
I'm Beautiful (Damnit!) - Bette Midler

Still looking for more!
