Ozzfest 2004 headliners announced
Not a metal fan but thought I would post this for those interested from entertainment weekly.com...
All aboard, hahahaha! The crazy train that is Ozzy Osbourne's annual Ozzfest tour is right on track, even after Ozzy's near-fatal ATV crash in December. Billboard reports that Ozzy will headline a metal-monster bill this summer that includes Slayer, Slipknot, and the reunited Judas Priest, featuring singer Rob Halford and the rest of the lineup from the band's early '80s heyday.
The summer shows will mark the first performances since the accident for the MTV reality star, who made a surprise appearance as a presenter at Sunday's Grammy Awards -- wearing a neck brace but up and walking, Ozzy quipped that he was happy to be anywhere. Such details as dates and venues will be announced at a Los Angeles press conference next week, Billboard reports.

hmm, not interested in any of them. Unless there's something really worth seeing, I'll be saving my $50.

This sucks that Judas Priest is playing the NU-Metal fest, but then again maybe some younger kids will learn just how much better REAL metal is compared to thier Nu-Metal, when Priest blows them all off the stage. Well 'cept Slayer.
I really feel sorry for whomever has to go on after Slayer. They are a hard act to follow. At least they used to be, I havn't seen them in over ten years, so I'm just asuming they still kick major ass live these days as well.

Yes,
SLAYER does still OWN when it comes to a live show. Last time I saw them they played the ENTIRE REIGN IN BLOOD ALBUM!!! I can now die a happy man. I'm pissed though because I recently read an interview with Kerry King saying he didn't want to do Snoozefest this year because he hated playing outside in broad daylight for 45 minutes when they could headline their own gigs and give the SLAYER fans their moneys worth and put on a much better show.
I'd also like to see Priest headline their own gig as well.

I'm not into Slayer myself, but I do remember them sticking out out when I went to Ozzfest a few years ago. They just seemed to be very on point that day. They definetly have some crazy fans though

OZZY OSBOURNE
JUDAS PRIEST
SLAYER
DIMMU BORGIR
SUPERJOINT RITUAL
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY
SLIPKNOT
HATEBREED
UNEARTH (tentative)
EVERY TIME I DIE
