new Air album
Just got the new Air album "Talkie Walkie".
It is brillliant, this album is the most dreamiest they have done. At the moment my favourite track is "venus", then "surfing on a rocket" and "cherry blossom girl".
Try to get the limited edition CD as it comes with a free DVD of 5 live tracks filmed in the summer of 2002.

I can't wait to hear this. Thank god it's closer in sound to their earlier work and away from 10,000. Thanks for the DVD heads up as well... might buy this today.

Nope, not out yet. I assumed it was... but I did order it from BestBuy.com. Cheapest price I found... $12.84 total (free shipping). That's the CD/DVD limited edition. It'll probably show up two weeks after Tueday knowing my luck.

I picked this up on Friday, but just gave it a good listen this morning...and it was a fairly welcome listen for a dreary winter's Monday morning. It sure doesn't match Moon Safari, but it's much more enjoyable than 10,000 Hz Legend.
Off the bat, I noticed there were a lot of songs with vocals...so many that the booklet has the lyrics printed. There's also a lot of good use of acoustic guitar as an atmosphere-builder.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with this album. Some great tunes, and some good/decent tunes...but not much that is skip-worthy. The album cover, on the other hand...

I enjoy it.
Much more focused and melodic than 10,000 Hz Legend and (thankfully) not Moon Safari 2. Fans of the Virgin Suicides soundtrack should love this.

Just came back from the show tonight in Boston, excellent performance. Air in concert live are excellent.
2nd time I have seen them its amazing to see them with guitars and drums, and the vocals are perfect. You would expect them to be all synthed up, and of course there are keyboards but the rhythm comes from the drums
