I actually like Hey Ya the first 100 times I've heard it... now I wish I'd never hear it again.

Originally posted by mee2 You make it sound as if Outkast has just released their sophomore album. They've been around since 1991, and have had numerous hits, and all albums have gone platinum+. Most likely, they'll lose some of their old fans (who will think they sold out) and not keep most of the new ones (unless all their music is just like Hey Ya), but still be somewhat successful (but like I said, I had never heard of them before, so I guess they are just much more popular than I realized) |

You people are all insane. "Hey Ya" is clearly the new "Tub-Thumping." Sheesh.

Originally posted by Ginwen So, they'll go back to their prior level then (although a few of their old fans are probably sick of them now, too). I never really heard of them before and probably won't really hear of them again. Outkast constantly changes its music, which keeps it fresh. "Hey ya" is a good song but it is getting overplayed and pimped out.
|
Both suck (IMO) and are overplayed, so they are similar in that vain.

Originally posted by Ginwen OK, thanks for setting me straight. |
I'm glad Outkast keeps staying diverse with their style, but please for the love of God, STOP OVERPLAYING ANY OUTKAST SONG! The radio is just ruining every song they put out
