Female singer April March is on tour

Hopefully some of you are familiar with April March.

Just got this email from her:

Hey Fans and Friends,

For those who might be interested in scoring some free tickets, assorted other goodies, props and love from all of us, we are looking for some new Street Team Members to help on this and future tours.

If you are interested see the end of this e-mail. Otherwise check out the tour dates below and we'll see you at a show near you!!!

Tour Dates:
Sat. Jan.17 Burlington, VT. at Club Metronome
Sun. Jan 18 Cambridge, MA. at T.T. The Bear's
Thu. Jan 22 Cleveland, OH. at Beachland Tavern
Fri. Jan 23 Detroit, MI at Magic Stick
Sat. Jan 24 Madison, WI at Cafe Montmarte
Sun. Jan 25 Chicago, IL at Schubas
Tue. Jan 27 Montreal, PQ at Cafe Campus
Wed. Jan 28 Toronto, ON at Lee's Place
Fri. Jan 30 Brooklyn, NY at Southpaw

Street Team Information:
All you have to do is go to the local indie record stores in your area, or in the area of the show... and make sure they have "Triggers" in stock. It would also be great to make sure they have a poster up announcing the show and, or maybe they will give out flyers with show information, make sure the local college radio station is aware of April March's show information, go online and anything else you can think of that might help promote the show. In return you get yourself and one guest into the show for free and if you can provide photos of your street smarts, then you will get a goodie package as well!
If you are interested of have any questions please e-mail us back asap at [email protected]. Thanks for all you love and support!!

I went by my local cd store and picked up her latest cd, "Triggers". I was hoping to influence them to put up a poster, etc. so I could get a goodie package but one was already up.

She's had an interesting career. Lately her music has had a French pop angle to it. She's also worked with the Makers, Los Cincos, Brian Wilson, Andy Paley, Ronnie Spector, Jonathan Richman and others. She was also in the bands, The Pussywillows, The Shitbirds and The Haves. She also did animation for the Ren and Stimpy cartoon on TV under her real name Elinor Blake.

If she's in your area, check her out!

bump

I figured it was a longshot that anyone had heard of her but you never know.

I'm going to the show tonight and may post some pix.

I've heard of her. I've got Chrominance Decoder and love it.

I didn't even realize she had other CDs out. I won't be seeing the tour, but I'll keep her other albums in mind when looking for new music.

Have fun tonight!

I'll be seeing her next week at Southpaw in NY. A band that a friend of mine is in will be opening for her. Any song recommendations for someone who doesn't know her material? I like to at least know a couple of songs before I see someone new.

Thanks in advance!

She didn't play any of her old stuff, just the Frenchy songs from Triggers and Chrominance Decoder.

If you hear those two cds you'll be set.
