I hope the rumor for NIN is true, its been too long, the only other one i've been waiting for is the new Air album but thats out in a few weeks.
I keep hearing rumors that the new Duran Duran album should be out this year. The are doing a world tour at the moment with the original line-up so it will be interesting to hear the new stuff after so many changes on their most recent albums.

Sigur Ros

Possibly coming out as early as summer.

They are working on it right now and have partially finished 6 tracks.

No sh*t?! That's cool. I hope it's better than that community service CD, I didn't like that one too much - oh and hope there is a Japan edish with bonus track(s) like there was for Tweekend

My most anticipated album is 'Coverage : Again' by Mandy Moore, a followup album to her smash album of covers. On the new CD, Mandy is attempting pop remix versions of the classics by Cat Stevens and Joni Mitchell. The centerpiece of the record is said to be her salsa-inspired version of 'The Long and Winding Road' by the Beatles. What a fabulous idea!! I think this album is going to change the musicscape forever. Can you wait for it? Is anyone here as excited about this event as I am?

Tracklisting :

1. Live to Tell (Madonna)
2. Something to talk about (Bonnie Raitt)
3. Wild World (Cat Stevens)
4. Ladies of the canyon (joni mitchell)
5. Missionary Man (Eurythmics)
6. Dont know why (Jesse Harris)
7. Stand by your man (WYnette)
8. I have confidence in me (Julie Andrews)
9. The long and winding road (Beatles)
10. band on the run (McCartney)
11. Candy (Acoustic version, live)

Matt, if its anything like the last two lazy and incoherent albums, then I'm not at all excited.

Reel Big Fish (I hope), Ben Folds, The Mars Volta, Midtown, Goldfinger, Recover, and The Living End. Not sure if all of them are going to put something out this year, but they didn't put anything out in 2003. Except for The Mars Volta, but I've read several places that they're already in the studio.

look for their new cd, Modern ARTillery, to be released in the US on March 2nd...it was released in Australia last fall. plans were to have the cd released worldwide along with the AUS version but EMI and Reprise in their infinite wisdom decided to delay them. the US date seems to be set in stone (with a March US tour to coincide with the release) but i think the UK release is still unannounced. no word on bonus material that might be included in the US pressings (the AUS version had two packages: 1. regular cd & 2. cd along with a kick ass region free dvd). check thelivingend.com for the full details as they announce them.

as for the cd itself...its a great frickin cd. IMO, their best record so far.
